Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY JUNE 26, 2026.
"LESSONS FROM THE PRODIGAL SON (3)"

When he finally came to his senses…’  Luke 15:17 NLT

THE PRODIGAL Son’s journey to ruin didn’t happen overnight. It was a slow, steady build-up, like cholesterol in your arteries. He took his father’s blessings for granted and stopped being grateful. No wonder David wrote, ā€˜Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities…heals all your diseases…redeems your life from destruction…crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies…who satisfies your mouth with good things…’ (Psalms 103:1-5 NKJV). The Prodigal Son was from one of the best families in town, yet he ended up penniless, friendless, eating with pigs, trying to satisfy a legitimate hunger in an illegitimate way. Why do we get involved in extramarital affairs, go on drinking and drug binges, or work ourselves to death and sacrifice our families in the process? Because inside each of us is an emptiness that nothing and no one but God can fill. Jesus said, ā€˜When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself…I will go home to my father and say,Ā  ā€œFather, I have sinnedā€¦ā€ā€™ (Luke 15:17-18 NLT). If you let Him, God will stop you in the nick of time. He will remind you of who you are and where you belong. You will start seeing the mud you’re wallowing in, the false friends, the empty achievements, the people around you who are no happier than you. If that’s where you are right now, come home. Your Father is waiting to wipe your slate clean. He still loves you. Tell the devil, ā€˜I’ve changed my mind. I’m going home.’

MD.ii. I AM THE LORD, WHO HEALS YOU

"I am the Lord, who heals you." - Exodus 15:26

I read in Luke 13:10-17, the story of a woman who was bent over for 18 years and could not straighten up at all. No medicine, massage nor surgery could heal her, because according to the Bible she had a spirit of illness. Her body was therefore controlled by an evil spirit of illness.

She was in the house of God when Jesus saw her. He called her and said to her: you are set free from your illness. Then He laid His hands on her, immediately her back straightened up and she praised and thanked God!

She believed the word that Jesus spoke! Jesus said: 'Should not this woman whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?'Ā

They also brought someone who had an evil spirit and who was blind and dumb to Jesus! This man did not have an accident that made him blind, nor had a shock that made him lose his speech. The cause of his illness and misery was from the evil one. Praise God, Jesus healed him! How did He heal him? By ordering the blind and dumb spirit to leave the man!Ā

Times have not changed, in those days also church leaders did not like Jesus healing people. The church leaders of that time no longer believed in what is written in Exodus 15:26: 'I am the Lord, who heals you' and in Deuteronomy 7:15: 'The Lord will keep you free from every disease.

It is not much different today with many Bible teachers, many no longer believe in the great miracles of God. In Matthew 12:24 they said: 'It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.' But Jesus replied: 'If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you' (verses 26 & 28).

2. Morning Prayer for today.

MP.i. Morning Prayer

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly. ā¤ John 10:10

The Lord will revive the weary heart that seeks Him. ā¤ Charles Spurgeon

O Jesus, the source and fountain of all life, we come to You this morning seeking new life and renewed strength to face the day ahead. Our spirits feel drained, and we need You to fill us again with Your life and love so that we can shine Your light in this world. Our hearts are weary, and we need Your love to refresh and sustain us. Our strength is depleted by the challenges we face, and we need Your power to carry us through.

We come to You, Jesus, because You are the Life. You have promised to fill us with Your grace upon grace, and we trust in Your promise. You gave Your life on the cross so that we could have life in abundance. Jesus, our Savior, fill us with Your life today so that we can truly live for You.

We ask for all the strength we need to be faithful followers of You today. We have no power on our own, but with You living in us, we can show the world who You are. May Your joy, peace, and life flow through us, so that others may see You in us and give glory to Your name. Fill us with Your life so that we can give to others from the abundance You provide. We ask all this in Your precious name, O Lamb of God. Amen.
