* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 175*
*DATE: 25TH JUNE 2026*
*TOPIC: CHOSEN TO BE FRUITFUL – 5*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: JOHN 15:5 (NKJV)*
*"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."*
*Devotional message:*
We continue with our series, Chosen to Be Fruitful. One important truth about fruitfulness is that every tree that bears fruit is alive. Likewise, for us as believers—whom Jesus calls the branches—to bear fruit, we must remain connected to the true Vine, who is Christ. He is the source of our spiritual life, strength, and fruitfulness.
A branch separated from the vine immediately begins to wither because it no longer receives life from its source. In the same way, when a believer becomes disconnected from fellowship with God, spiritual fruitfulness begins to diminish. Jesus made it clear that apart from Him we can do nothing of eternal value.
One of the greatest hindrances to remaining connected to God is sin. The prophet Isaiah declares that our iniquities separate us from God. Since God is holy, He calls His children to pursue righteousness and holiness so that His life may continually flow through them. As we remain in fellowship with Him, His character is formed within us, enabling us to bear fruit that glorifies His name and advances His Kingdom.
Many profess to know Christ, yet their lives produce little spiritual impact because there is a disconnect between their public profession and their private walk with God. Hidden sin weakens fellowship with God and hinders the flow of His life. Instead of producing the fruit of the Spirit, such a life begins to display works of the flesh, which reveal spiritual separation rather than intimacy with Christ.
Child of God, if you desire to bear the fruit that pleases God, remain connected to Christ daily. Pursue holiness, walk in obedience, and quickly repent whenever the Holy Spirit convicts you. As you abide in Him, His life will continually flow through you, and your character, words, and actions will reflect Jesus to a world that desperately needs Him.
Remember, we are carriers of God's life. As temples of the Holy Spirit, we are called to live holy lives so that Christ may freely manifest Himself through us and produce lasting fruit for His glory.
Lasting fruitfulness is only possible when we remain connected to Christ through a life of holiness, obedience, and continual fellowship with Him.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the true Vine and the source of my life. Help me to remain connected to You each day. Cleanse me from every sin that seeks to separate me from Your presence, and teach me to pursue holiness and righteousness. Let Your life flow through me so that I may bear fruit that glorifies You and draws many into Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.
