📘 Daily Devotion — July 2 | Acts 5:29 (NKJV) 💯 Courageous Obedience Peter and the apostles stood before religious leaders who commanded them to stop preaching about Jesus. Faced with pressure and threats, they boldly declared that obedience to God must come before obedience to human authority when the two are in conflict. Their response demonstrates unwavering commitment to God's truth. They understood that their highest allegiance belonged to the Lord. Even though obedience brought hardship, they chose faithfulness over comfort and courage over compromise. Believers today may face situations where following Christ is unpopular or difficult. While Scripture teaches respect for authority, our ultimate loyalty must always be to God. When His Word is clear, we must stand firm regardless of opposition. God honors those who trust Him enough to obey Him, even when obedience requires sacrifice. He provides strength, wisdom, and grace for every challenge. Reflection Questions 1.
