TITLE: "Serving God with Excellence and Diligence"

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)

Ecclesiastes 9:10 (KJV) "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."

Colossians 3:23 (KJV) "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;"

QUOTE TO REFLECT ON

"Excellence is worship when every task is done wholeheartedly for the glory of God."

DAY'S REFLECTION

Every day presents opportunities to serve God through the work He has entrusted to us. Whether in ministry, business, teaching, parenting, farming, or any other vocation, God values not only what we do but also the attitude with which we do it.

Solomon encourages us to do whatever our hands find to do with all our might. This is a call to diligence, commitment, and excellence. Life is a gift with limited time, and each day offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact before our earthly assignment is complete.

Paul adds another important perspective: our work should be done heartily, as unto the Lord and not merely to impress people. This transforms ordinary tasks into acts of worship. A teacher preparing lessons with care, a carpenter crafting quality furniture, a minister preaching faithfully, or a student studying diligently can all glorify God through their work.

Consider a mason building a house. If he cuts corners because the owner is absent, the building may later develop dangerous cracks. However, if he works with integrity and excellence, the structure will stand the test of time. Likewise, when we remember that God sees every effort, we are motivated to give our very best, even when no one else is watching.

Today, approach every responsibility with diligence, integrity, and joy. Your work is more than a duty—it is an opportunity to honour God and bless others.
