Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.
MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. SATURDAY JUNE 27, 2026.
"WAIT"
WHEN YOU'RE praying for something, the last thing you want to hear God say is ‘Wait!’ But sometimes He does. And in order to walk with Him you must learn to be patient, because He works according to His schedule and not yours. All your praying and pleading won’t accelerate the process, it’ll just frustrate you. Furthermore, if life has indulged your every want and whim, learning to wait on God will be like going through spiritual rehab. When Abraham was 75, God promised to make him ‘…a father of many nations’ (Genesis 17:4 NKJV). But he had to wait 24 more years before he ‘received what was promised’. Waiting isn’t simply something you do in order to get what you want; waiting produces patience, maturity, understanding and character. What God accomplishes in you while you’re waiting is often more important than the thing you’re waiting for. ‘You need to persevere, so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised’ (Hebrews 10:36 NIV). Now, waiting isn’t an excuse for dodging reality, shirking your responsibility, or not doing the right thing. For example, if you’re up to your eyeballs in debt due to overspending, don’t sit around waiting for God to send you a big cheque. Learn to discipline yourself and adopt sound financial principles like tithing, budgeting, and doing without it until you can pay for it. Above all, waiting means making a decision to trust and obey God when things aren’t going the way you planned. It’s saying, ‘Lord, I’m counting on You and I don’t have a backup plan.’

MD.ii. MIRACLES ARE ALSO FOR TODAY
"Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these." - John 14:12
Some people live too much in the past. They know the miracles that God did through Moses, Joshua, Daniel, Gideon and many others. Those miracles were amazing. I will continue to talk about these to build our faith and to remind our generation of the great things God has done. But listen: God is a God who wants to do new miracles today in our lives. I can stand in front of the sea and ask God if He wants to open the sea like He did with Moses. However, that is the miracle God did for Moses which was needed at that time.
New miracles
Indeed, God wants to do new miracles in our lives today and in His church all over the world.
We cannot continue to live from this one great experience with God from the past. We do not have faith for what God wants to do for us today. We need to long for receiving a double portion from God. Ask the Lord to do miracles in your life, in your family, in your marriage and in your business today. You live today. We do not live in the time of Moses and Joshua; we are people of today. God did the miracles they needed. We need our own miracles today.
When Jesus says, 'you will do even greater things,' it also means that we will need more of God's Holy Spirit in our lives. You cannot expect to get it from your brothers or sisters, your husband or wife, or even from your pastor. You need to expect it from God. You must go to the Source from which the living water flows. You cannot just go to church on Sundays and live your own life for the rest of the week. You must drink that water every day and really seek God. God is ready to do new miracles: miracles of repentance, redemption, healing, deliverance and outcome.

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. ⏤ John 15:5
In the light of Christ, our hearts find the strength to shine. ⏤ J.R. Miller
Heavenly Father, as this new day begins, draw us closer to You. Let the light of Your love shine in our hearts and may Your grace fill us like the morning sun. Give us a glimpse of the fullness of life that awaits us in Heaven, so that our hearts may be drawn towards it.
We thank You that eternal life begins here on earth when we receive Jesus as our Lord. Help us to live more fully each day, filled with Your presence. Abide in us, and may we abide in You. Let Your love overflow in our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
We ask for grace to be witnesses for Jesus today. In our homes, may we show love, gentleness, and affection as a testimony to Your power. In our work, may we demonstrate diligence, faithfulness, and selflessness. In our friendships, may we be thoughtful, sincere, and kind, showing Christ’s love to all we meet. In every aspect of our lives, may we reflect Your beauty and grace.
We also pray for those whose work takes them into dangerous places today. Keep safe those who travel by sea, those who work on the rails, in mines, and in other hazardous jobs. We pray for our neighbors and friends, the poor, the sick, and those nearing death. We ask all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
