The job of a servant of God or a minister is to deliver the word God has for His people. At any point he starts to feel like he is too important or "worthy to listen to," he starts to shut his window toward heaven, and he'll have nothing of value to offer the people.
If God decides to reveal Himself through you, people should listen to you. Standing in your way or trying to stop you would be considered hindering God Himself.
Instead, if God decides to speak or manifest through someone else, people (including you) should listen to him.
Because ultimately, it's not you or me that matters. It is God we want to see. It is Christ we want to hear.
