SENT WITH AUTHORITY
```TEXT: MATTHEW 10:1-16```
```KEY VERSE:``` "And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give" (MATTHEW 10:7-8).
Jesus had compassion on the multitudes, then He did something about it. He called twelve ordinary men, gave them authority, and sent them out. He didnтАЩt send them with money, extra clothes, or a five-year plan. He sent them with His name, His power, and His message. The same Lord who died at Calvary now sends us from the empty tomb. We are not volunteers; we are commissioned.
Three truths about being sent: One, Jesus gives authority before He gives assignment. тАЬHe gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness.тАЭ You donтАЩt go in your own strength. Calvary purchased your authority, and the Spirit confirms it. Two, the message is simple. тАЬThe kingdom of heaven is at hand.тАЭ Where Jesus rules, things change тАФ sickness breaks, sin loses grip, hope returns. You donтАЩt need a sermon. You need His presence. Three, opposition is expected. тАЬBehold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves.тАЭ He never promised safety, but He did promise His Spirit: тАЬIt is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in youтАЭ (verse 20).
What field has He assigned you this Tuesday? Your home, your workplace, your street, your online space? You carry the same Gospel the twelve carried. DonтАЩt wait to feel qualified. You are sent. Freely you have received mercy at the Cross; freely give it today. Go in His name, speak His Word, and trust His power.
