SENT WITH AUTHORITY
```TEXT: MATTHEW 10:1-16```
```KEY VERSE:``` "And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give" (MATTHEW 10:7-8).
Jesus had compassion on the multitudes, then He did something about it. He called twelve ordinary men, gave them authority, and sent them out. He didn’t send them with money, extra clothes, or a five-year plan. He sent them with His name, His power, and His message. The same Lord who died at Calvary now sends us from the empty tomb. We are not volunteers; we are commissioned.
Three truths about being sent: One, Jesus gives authority before He gives assignment. “He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness.” You don’t go in your own strength. Calvary purchased your authority, and the Spirit confirms it. Two, the message is simple. “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Where Jesus rules, things change — sickness breaks, sin loses grip, hope returns. You don’t need a sermon. You need His presence. Three, opposition is expected. “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves.” He never promised safety, but He did promise His Spirit: “It is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you” (verse 20).
What field has He assigned you this Tuesday? Your home, your workplace, your street, your online space? You carry the same Gospel the twelve carried. Don’t wait to feel qualified. You are sent. Freely you have received mercy at the Cross; freely give it today. Go in His name, speak His Word, and trust His power.
✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` Jesus doesn’t call the equipped; He equips the called — go, and He goes with you.
