THE PILGRIMS GUIDE WEDNESDAY JULY 1, 2026 WHAT MANNER OF MAN IS JESUS? 1 A WORD FROM THE WORD: "And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?" Mark 4:41 KJV. The Holy Spirit inspired the beloved Mark to pen this awe-inspiring account of the LORD Jesus calming the violent storm with just His spoken command. The discples of our LORD Jesus Christ, most of whom were experienced fishermen found themselves caught in the midst of a tempestuous situation capable of causing death while the LORD Jesus was peacefully asleep in the stern of the boat Saturated with fear, they woke Him up, and the LORD Jesus, with just a mere word of command, rebuked the wind and calmed down the tempestuous sea. They were astonished and filled with reverential fear of the LORD, the discples said one to another, 'What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?' This question resounds through the ages and is a prompting for the believing child of God to reflect on the nature and character of the LORD Jesus. What manner of man is this Jesus that can bring peace to the chaos and turmoil in our lives. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, help me to know You more.
