Good evening, brethren.
1. Evening devotion for today.

1. ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

*WELCOME TO JULY, 2026.*

*SUB-THEME:*
THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD'S GRACE.

*INTRODUCTION:*
The focus of this month is "THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD'S GRACE." Grace is the free and undeserved favour of God, given to humans for their salvation and sanctification. One accesses this grace through faith in Jesus Christ, as revealed in the Gospel. Whoever does not believe in Jesus rejects this gift and is doomed for eternity. The person who rejects God's grace remains alienated from God, missing out on salvation, peace, and eternal life. His rejection of God's grace will make him struggle with guilt, anxiety, lack of direction, and outright resistance to God's truth. As you go through the daily topics, resolve to embrace God's grace and guide your family members as well in order to avoid the consequences of rejecting God's grace.

*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
HEBREWS 10:29.
29 How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

*DATE:*
WEDNESDAY, 1ST JULY, 2026.

*TOPIC:*
SPIRITUAL DEATH.

*TEXT:*
ROMANS 6:20-23.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were “free” as far as righteousness was concerned. Joh 8:34
21 What benefit did you get from doing those things you are now ashamed of? For those things resulted in death.
22 But now that you have been freed from sin and have become God’s slaves, the benefit you reap is sanctification, and the result is eternal life. [Rom 8:2]
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with the Messiah Jesus our Lord. Gen 2:17 Rom 5:12 1Co 15:21 Jas 1:15 1Pe 1:3.

*TOPIC:*
SPIRITUAL DEATH.

*THE MESSAGE:*
Spiritual death refers to eternal separation from God. It is the consequences of sin or disobedience against God, which leads to a state of alienation from Him.
In today's text, Paul contrasts the lives of those who are slaves to sin with those who are slaves to God. Those who live in sin will receive death as its wages, while those who accept Jesus and become slaves of righteousness will be rewarded with the gift of eternal life. Sadly, some who profess to be Christians are still under the bondage of sexual immorality, impurity, hatred, jealousy,. idolatry, drunkenness, and the like (Gal. 5:19-21).
Are you guilty of any of these sins?
If yes, know that you are spiritually dead. God's grace is always accessible through Christ. Believe in Him, be transformed, and live righteously.

*REFLECTION:*
The wages of sin is death!

*PRAYER:*
Father, grant me the grace to Overcome sin, in Jesus' name. Amen.

*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
PROVERBS 1-4.

2. Evening Prayer for today.

EP.i. Evening Prayer

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. ⏤ 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Praise is the language of faith, lifting our hearts to see God’s hand in all things. ⏤ Matthew Henry

Lord, we praise You for Your mercy, truth, and all the wonders of Your love. Teach us how to sing Your praises. Sometimes we forget to sing because we so rarely express our gratitude. We come to You often with our needs, asking for many things, but we don’t thank You as often as we should. We forget to thank You for the very things we prayed for, not realizing that they are answers to our prayers, gifts from Your hand.

Father, we confess this sin of ingratitude and ask for Your forgiveness. Help us to show our repentance by thanking You more faithfully for all the blessings of Your love and grace. We thank You now for answered prayers, for the good things You provide, for the blessings of Your Word and Spirit, for our home and friends, and for all the benefits of living in this country and being part of Your church.

We thank You for today’s blessings, for its joys, for all the good it has brought us, for Your presence with us, and for the hope of eternal life. We thank You for being our Father, for loving us, and for revealing Your grace and comfort to us.

Teach us to sing Your praises, not just with our lips, but with our lives. May our actions, our character, and our conduct be a song of praise to You. May everyone who sees us hear the music of love and praise in our lives. Fill us with the joy of Jesus, and then we will sing. Breathe Your life into our souls, and then our lives will be a song. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
