THE PILGRIMS GUIDE THURSDAY JULY 2, 2026 WHAT MANNER OF MAN IS JESUS? 2 A WORD FROM THE WORD: "And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?" Mark 4:41 KJV. The first thing to know and understand is that the LORD Jesus is the Son of God, the second person of the Holy Trinity. He is divine, and has in His possession all the attributes, power and authority of God Himself. We read in the book of Genesis where Jesus was present at the creation of the heavens and the earth being part of the Godhead. So it is not surprising that He has dominion over the elements He created. The LORD Jesus is not merely a distant and unapproachable Deity, He is also fully human, having taken on human flesh. He in His humanity lived in the midst of men, experienced emotions, fatigue and hunger just like we do. We see His humanity in action during the storm as He slept in the stern of the boat occasioned by exhaustion from His ministry. There is one remarkable thing in all these; even in His humanity, the LORD Jesus demonstrated His divine authority. He is the God-Man, the perfect union of divinity and humanity. PRAYER BULLETS: ABBA Father, I thank You for my LORD Jesus. Help me to better understand His divinity and humanity to Your glory, so as to render You acceptable worship.
