Answer to prayer-2
Syllabus-42
"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him." 1 Samuel 1:27
Hannah was barren. She had no children for a long time. Her wife Peninnah used to mock her, taking advantage of her barrenness. But she silently endured everything. But here is something to note. God had a plan in Hannah's barrenness. Because it is written in 1 Samuel 14:5, "The Lord had closed Hannah's womb." Hannah's physical structure was normal, but to fulfill His purpose, He made Hannah barren. For Hannah, this test appeared in a terrible form. First, she stopped eating and drinking. She kept crying day and night. But that also did not bring any results. We too often grieve our souls in the excess of testing, spend our days in despair, or become impatient and surrender ourselves to sin and close the way to heaven.
Hannah finally resorted to a surprising method. She decided to present her request to the Creator of the body, God. She went to the temple of the Lord in Shiloh and began to pray with deep pain and weeping.
God heard her prayer of faith. She gave birth to a son a year later. He named him Samuel. It was God's purpose to bring this Samuel into the world. He made Hannah barren so that He could demonstrate His (God's) great power in her life.
He often puts His chosen children through severe trials so that He can reveal His power and might in their lives.
"As a result, even in the midst of great trials and tribulations, their joy and deep humility
Their generosity has overflowed into the form of wealth." 2 Corinthians 8:2.
