* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 183*
*DATE: 2nd JULY 2026*
*TOPIC: CHOSEN TO BE FRUITFUL_11*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: PHILIPIANS 1:27 (NKJV)*
" *Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ."*
*Devotional message:*
We continue with our series, Chosen to Be Fruitful. Over the past few days, we have explored several areas in which God expects every believer to bear fruit, including soul winning, prayer, the study of God's Word, and fasting. Today, we consider another essential area of fruitfulness—godly character.
God not only desires us to perform spiritual activities but also to reflect His nature in the way we live. Prayer, Bible study, and fasting are vital disciplines, but without godly character, their impact is greatly diminished. Our lives should consistently display the character of Christ so that those around us may see Him through us.
Our God is holy; therefore, He calls His people to live holy lives. Holiness is not achieved through human effort alone but by abiding in Christ and yielding to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. As we draw near to God and continually surrender ourselves to Him, His nature is increasingly formed within us.
The Apostle Paul urges believers to present their bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God. Since our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, we are called to live lives that honour His presence. A life of purity, obedience, and reverence creates room for God to work powerfully in and through us.
Godly character is also displayed through integrity, honesty, humility, faithfulness, and love. In our workplaces, businesses, ministries, families, and daily interactions, we should be known as people whose words can be trusted and whose actions reflect Christ. Love must remain the foundation of all we do because God Himself is love. When we put on Christ, His love becomes evident in our relationships with others.
Developing godly character requires daily discipline. Like the Apostle Paul, we must continually bring our bodies under the control of the Holy Spirit, refusing to allow the desires of the flesh to rule our lives. As we yield to the Spirit, He produces His fruit within us, and our lives become powerful testimonies of God's transforming grace.
Child of God, never separate spiritual gifts from godly character. While gifts may open doors, it is character that sustains your calling and preserves your testimony. Allow the Holy Spirit to shape your life daily so that everything you do reflects the beauty and holiness of Jesus Christ.
True fruitfulness is demonstrated not only through spiritual disciplines but also through a Christ-like character that reflects God's holiness, love, integrity, and righteousness.As a man without a character is like a city without a wall open to the enemy.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me to reflect the character of Christ. Help me to live a life that is holy, honest, humble, and full of love. Teach me to submit every area of my life to the leading of the Holy Spirit so that my conduct may bring glory to Your name. May my character become a testimony of Your transforming power wherever I go. In Jesus' name, Amen.
*Daily Bible Reading:*
Phil 1:27–30,Rom 12:1–2,Gal 5:22–26,1 Ptr 1:13–16,Col 3:12–17
