(2)" 'My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.’     Hosea 4:6 NKJV INSTRUCT THEM. ‘Go…make disciples…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…’ (Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV). When your focus is on not only winning people to Jesus but making them disciples of Jesus, He promises, ‘…I am with you…’ (v. 20 NKJV). Today we are raising a scripturally unenlightened generation. In a survey conducted in New York City, nine out of ten people couldn’t repeat one of the Ten Commandments or name one of the first four books of the New Testament. One man thought Dan and Beersheba were husband and wife! Another thought an epistle was the wife of an apostle! We smile, but it’s a deadly serious issue. God said, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.’ Jesus said, ‘…Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures?...’ (Mark 12:24 NIV). Many of the problems we seek counselling for could be resolved and in some cases avoided altogether, if we took time each day to get into God’s Word. The reason many of us are spiritually sick is not because the medicine failed, but because we don’t take it. Basically, we’re all motivated by reward. So read this: ‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success’ (Joshua 1:8 NKJV). Do you want to be strong spiritually? Get into the Scriptures. Do you want to succeed in life? FRIDAY JULY 3, 2026. "DO YOU WANT YOUR CHURCH TO GROW? (3)" '...They were all filled with the Holy Spirit…’  Acts 4:31 NKJV INSPIRE THEM. To be inspired is to feel motivated and excited about what you are doing. The story is told of a little boy sitting in church with his mother. On the platform behind the pastor were three flags; the little boy asked her about the first one. ‘That’s our nation’s flag,’ she said. Then he wanted to know about the second flag. She whispered, ‘That’s the Christian flag.’ Finally he asked about the third flag. Telling him to be quiet, she whispered, ‘That’s for those who died in service.’ Innocently he asked, ‘Which service did they die in, the morning or evening service?’ Yes, your church should be a place of reverence and order, but it should also be alive with the power and presence of God. A sign on a little country store said it all: ‘There’s no place anywhere near this place, that’s anything like this place, so this must be the place!’ That’s what God wants His church to be. You ask, ‘What was church like back in the days of the early apostles?’ Distinctive! Dynamic! Demonstrative! ‘When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled…was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.’ According to the latest opinion poll, nowadays a ‘committed’ church member is somebody who attends church twice a month. Wow! The New Testament believers went every day. Furthermore, ‘They were all (every member) filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.’ Jesus is many things—but boring isn’t one of them. THE WHITE HORSE "I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and wages war." - Revelation 19:11 The rider on the white horse is the Prince of Peace, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, and His name is Jesus Christ. Our hope is in Him, He is our hope! With Him we always have hope. Revelation 6 tells us about the red horse. The rider of that horse brings death and destruction. This is what you see in this world today. When Jesus comes on the white horse, He will deal with all injustice. The Lord God, Jesus Christ, the Man, the Rider on the white horse, conquers the red horse. Today we live in a special time: a time in which we can repent from our sin, no matter how big and terrible it may be. A time when God grants forgiveness; He is merciful and patient towards us. But the day will come that God will act as the Judge from Revelation. He will stand up for all the innocent who have been killed and will revenge their blood. He will deal with all who sow destruction and who did not want to repent from their evil deeds. Then Jesus will establish His Kingdom of peace. The black horse (Revelation 6) brings famine and diseases. We see that today too. When Jesus comes on the white horse, He will bring the bread which gives life and healing, because He is the unchangeable great Healer. The pale horse (Revelation 6) brings death and hell. Jesus brings life and heaven to all who put their trust in Him. Jesus is our hope! Jesus, the Rider on the white horse, will put an end to all those horses that sow death and destruction, hell, damnation, diseases and famine. Morning Prayer If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ⏤ 1 John 1:9 Forgiveness is the grace that draws us close, keeping us humble and pure. ⏤ F.B. Meyer Father, we confess that we have fallen short in many ways, and we ask for Your grace and mercy. You have promised in Your Word that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So, we come to You now with confession, asking You to shine Your face upon us and grant us Your peace. You have kept us safe through the night, protecting us from all harm. We thank You and ask for more of Your blessings and grace today. Help us to make this day a beautiful and worthy one. May we complete every task, fulfill every duty, and do all things with love and care. Guide us in our interactions with others, making us gentle, thoughtful, charitable, and unselfish. Help us to be useful, comforting others in their pain, and bringing peace wherever we go. Give us patience and strength in all our trials and challenges. May we endure difficulties with calmness and grace. Let us pass through temptations unharmed, just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego passed through the fiery furnace without being burned. May we live in this world without being harmed by it. May our love for You grow stronger every day, drawing us closer to You as we journey through life. Let the hope of Heaven lift our spirits and ennoble our lives. As we go into this day, help us serve You faithfully and truthfully. Breathe upon us and fill us with Your Spirit.
