* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 184*
*DATE: 3rd JULY 2026*
*TOPIC: CHOSEN TO BE FRUITFUL_12*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 6:3–4 (NKJV)*
"*But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly."*
*Devotional message:*

We continue with our series, Chosen to Be Fruitful. Today, we reflect on another important area in which God desires every believer to bear fruit—the area of giving.

Giving is an act of worship that reveals the condition of our hearts. God desires that everything we give to Him should flow from a heart of love, sincerity, gratitude, and pure motives. He is not merely concerned with the size of the gift but with the attitude of the giver. When our giving is motivated by genuine love for God and compassion for others, it becomes a pleasing sacrifice before Him.

This principle is evident in the life of Abel. Scripture records that God respected both Abel and his offering because it was presented in faith and with the right heart. Likewise, after the flood, Noah offered sacrifices to the Lord, and they rose as a pleasing aroma before God. These examples remind us that God first looks at the heart before He looks at the gift.

Jesus also warned against giving for the purpose of receiving praise from people. Those who give merely to be noticed have already received their reward through human recognition. Instead, Jesus taught that our giving should be done in secret, with no desire for personal glory. Our Heavenly Father, who sees what is done in secret, is the One who rewards openly.

Fruitful giving is not limited to financial offerings. It also includes supporting the work of God, helping the poor and needy, encouraging those in distress, and generously sharing the resources, abilities, and opportunities God has entrusted to us. Whatever we do for others should be done as an act of service unto the Lord rather than as a means of seeking recognition.

The Apostle Paul reminds us that "it is more blessed to give than to receive." A generous heart reflects the nature of God, for He Himself is the greatest Giver as His giving of His son Jesus Christ brought redemption for all human kind. When we give with sincere love and pure motives, we become channels through which God's blessing, compassion, and provision flow to others.

Child of God, let your giving always be an expression of your love for God. Give cheerfully, humbly, and faithfully, knowing that your Heavenly Father sees every act of generosity done for His glory. As you honour Him with your substance and serve others with a willing heart, your life will bear fruit that brings glory to His name.

Fruitful giving flows from a heart of love, sincerity, and pure motives, seeking God's glory rather than the praise of people.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the greatest Giver and for blessing me with every good gift. Create in me a generous heart that gives out of love and gratitude rather than a desire for recognition. Help me to honour You with my resources and to be a blessing to those around me. May my giving always bring glory to Your name and advance Your Kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.
