DAY 4 – MORNING

Theme: BUILDING TRUST, ONE DAY AT A TIME

REFLECTION
The Courage to Tell the Truth

Good Morning!
One morning after a church service in Cape Coast, I watched a young couple walking hand in hand. They looked happy, but during a counseling session a few weeks later, the husband admitted something that touched my heart.
He said, "Pastor, I made a financial decision without telling my wife because I was afraid she would be disappointed."
His wife gently replied, "I wasn't hurt by the decision as much as I was hurt that you carried it alone."
That moment reminded me that honesty is not just about avoiding lies; it is about inviting your spouse into your world—even when the conversation feels uncomfortable.
Truth requires courage. It is easier to hide, delay, or pretend. Yet every honest conversation lays another stone in the foundation of trust.
God never asks us to speak truth harshly, but He does call us to speak it lovingly. When truth and love walk together, relationships grow stronger.

God's Word
"Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ." — Ephesians 4:15

Today's Challenge
Have one honest conversation today that you have been postponing. Speak with humility, listen with patience, and trust God with the outcome.

Let's Talk
Has an honest conversation ever strengthened one of your relationships? What made the difference?

Prayer
Father, give me the courage to be truthful and the wisdom to speak with love. Remove fear from my heart and help me build relationships that are rooted in honesty and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lewis Addai-Baah Marriage Nugget
"Honesty may create a difficult moment, but dishonesty can create a difficult future."

Remember:
In marriage, it is not about winning the argument; it is about winning each other's hearts.

May the Prince of Peace guard your heart, guide your words, and strengthen your home today.
