Good evening, brethren.
1. Evening devotion for today.
ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
*DATE:*
SATURDAY 4TH JULY, 2026.
*SUB-THEME:*
THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD'S GRACE.
*TOPIC:*
DROWNED IN SIN.
*TEXT:*
EPHESIANS 2:1-3.
1. As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
2. in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
3. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.
*TOPIC:*
DROWNED IN SIN.
*THE MESSAGE:*
Today's text describes the spiritual state of people who are dead in sin and are separated from God. Because they have rejected the grace of God that offers salvation, they are dominated by sinful desires such that they cannot comprehend God's truth as revealed in the Gospel (Tit. 2:11). Their lawlessness also affects their relationship with one another as each seeks to gratify the cravings of the sinful nature and its desires. In their transgression, they listen to the dictates of Satan and defy the grace of God that saves, thus they are objects of His wrath. People who have given the devil a foothold and are living "the jungle life", marked by addictions to alcohol, hard drugs, and sexual perversions, are drowned in sin. If you are a victim, you still have the opportunity to turn back to God. His grace is available today.
*REFLECTION:*
Do not be submerged in sin.
*PRAYER:*
Oh Lord, help me not to reject God's grace, in Jesus' name. Amen.
*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
HEBREWS 10:29.
29 How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

2. Evening Prayer for today.
EP.i. Evening Prayer
Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: β€ Ephesians 1:3
Our hearts overflow when we remember the family we have in Him. β€ Charles Spurgeon
O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and our Father, we come to You with love and faith this evening. Please graciously forgive all our sins, which are many, and give us Your peace. We belong to You as Your children, and we owe You the best honor, obedience, and service that we can give. Help us to fulfill our obligations and meet our responsibilities.
We thank You for Your goodness to us throughout this past week. You have showered us with blessings from Your bountiful hand. You have given us many favors, some of which have come in the form of trials, burdens, disappointments, and losses. But we know that these are also gifts from You, meant to bring good and blessing into our lives. Give us the grace to accept whatever You send, knowing that Your love can only give us what is ultimately good for us. Even if the cup is bitter, help us to accept it with faith.
We long for deeper and richer blessings for our home. We want to become more like our Savior. May our home life be filled with sanctifying influences. May our human love for each other deepen our love for You. Help us to live together with patience, thoughtfulness, and unselfishness, always seeking to do good to one another.
Come and be our guest, O Lord, just as You were a guest in the home at Bethany, bringing comfort, love, and blessing. Come and bless our home in the same way. Bless each of us with Your presence, both now and for eternity. We ask this in Your precious name. Amen.
