THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY JULY 5, 2026 NECESSARY, BUT NOT SUFFICIENT A WORD FROM THE WORD: "..He.... , allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD." Deuteronomy 8:3 NKJV. From our anchor Scripture, we can begin to appreciate the essence of the Holy Spirit's inspiration to Moses on our subject matter. The necessity of food cannot be downplayed in the life of human beings, but it can never be sufficient to keep the the spiritual man who is bent on pleasing God with their life. Physical food sustains the body temporarily, but God's Word in the life of His believing child is something more than satiety of food. It encapsulates a whole gamut of attitudes that gastronomic satiation stimulates. It sustains life eternally, this is due to the truthful fact that when you receive the wholesome Word of God, it has a way of assuaging your physical hunger beyond the physical. One can never overemphasise on the importance of the spiritual sustenance of the inner man of the true child of God from His Word. Go for God's Word, it is sufficient and will suffice for you. PRAYER BULLETS: ABBA Father, I ask You to, by Your Spirit help me to go for that which is sufficient, Your Word that is able to sustain my inner man.
