* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 186*
*DATE: 5th JULY 2026*
*TOPIC: WISDOM IS ESSENTIAL IN SOLVING PROBLEMS*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 1:19 (NKJV)*
*"Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly."*
*Devotional message:*

Joseph demonstrated remarkable wisdom when he discovered that Mary was pregnant. Although he did not yet understand God's plan, he chose not to expose her to public shame. Instead, he intended to separate from her quietly. His response reveals that true wisdom seeks restoration rather than humiliation.

As believers, we are called to correct others with gentleness, humility, and love. The Apostle Paul instructs us in Galatians 6:1 that those who are spiritual should restore anyone who has fallen in a spirit of meekness, remembering that they too can be tempted. The goal of correction is never to condemn but to restore.

Our perfect example is Jesus Christ. When the woman caught in adultery was brought before Him, the crowd was ready to stone her according to the law. Yet Jesus responded with both truth and mercy. After exposing the hypocrisy of her accusers, He spoke to the woman privately and said, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more." He corrected her without humiliating her and extended grace that led to restoration.

This principle applies to every area of life. In marriage, wisdom preserves relationships when husbands and wives avoid embarrassing one another publicly and instead address their differences with love and respect in private. In friendships, wisdom protects trust. In the workplace, wise leaders correct their employees in ways that preserve their dignity while helping them grow. Likewise, in the Church, shepherds should seek to restore those who err with compassion and biblical wisdom rather than publicly shaming them unnecessarily.

Public humiliation often wounds hearts and pushes people away, while loving and wise correction opens the door for repentance, healing, and lasting transformation. This does not mean sin should be ignored, but that it should be addressed in a manner that reflects the heart of Christ and promotes unity within the body of Christ.

Child of God, ask the Lord to fill you with heavenly wisdom. Let your words bring healing rather than harm, restoration rather than rejection, and grace rather than unnecessary shame. In doing so, you will reflect the character of Christ and strengthen the relationships God has entrusted to you.

Godly wisdom corrects with love, humility, and gentleness, always seeking restoration instead of humiliation.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom You freely give to those who ask. Teach me to respond to others with grace, humility, and compassion. Help me to correct others in a way that reflects the love of Christ and leads to restoration rather than condemnation. Guard my words and actions so that they build others up and preserve unity in every relationship You have entrusted to me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
