*THE TRUE BREAD OF HEAVEN*
*TEACHING SERIES*
*THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (Part 5)*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: Luke 1:35 (NKJV)*
*And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.*
For the past two Sundays, we have established that the Holy Spirit empowers believers with boldness to testify of Jesus Christ and supernatural power to witness through signs and wonders. However, the ministry of the Holy Spirit does not end there.
When the Holy Spirit came upon Mary, through His divine power she conceived Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world (Luke 1:35). This reveals another vital ministry of the Holy Spirit. He not only empowers believers but also births God's purposes within them.
Just as the Holy Spirit conceived Christ in Mary's womb, He also conceives God's visions, callings, ministries, assignments, and divine ideas within the hearts of those who yield themselves to Him. These are not born of human ambition or natural ability, but by the power and working of the Holy Spirit, for the glory of God and the blessing of others.
Therefore, the ministry of the Holy Spirit extends far beyond the manifestation of spiritual gifts. He forms God's purposes within us, nurtures them through every season, and empowers us to bring them to fulfillment according to God's perfect will.
We shall continue next Sunday, by the grace of God.
