Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. MONDAY JULY 6, 2O26.
"IT'S UP TO YOU"

‘…He will reward each person according to what he has done.’   Matthew 16:27 NIV

THE BIBLE says, ‘For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father’s glory with His angels and then He will reward each person according to what he has done.’ Let’s be clear: how you live now will determine what happens to you after you die. The choices you make each day don’t come to nothing when you pass away. They matter and they’ll continue to matter throughout eternity. Your eternal destination is determined by what you believe, but your eternal reward is the result of how you behave. If you believe that and live accordingly, it will change how you think about life, how you think about God, indeed what you do one minute from now. God wants you to know that the positive consequences of your actions today can change your eternal prospects in astounding and wonderful ways and He doesn’t want you to waste another minute. You don’t have to worry what awaits you on the other side of your last heartbeat. Others don’t decide that—you do! When the truth of this hits you, you’ll say, ‘I can’t believe I’ve prepared for my children’s future and my own retirement, but not given a thought to my real future!’ One man put it like this: ‘I’ve always thought about finishing well. Now it turns out that death is just the starting gate.’ The truth is that you can’t do anything about your past, but starting right now you can change your future—one choice, one day, one act at a time. It’s up to you.

MD.ii. THE JOURNEY TO ETERNITY

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ." - Philippians 3:20

You might not realize it, but you are traveling, you are traveling to eternity. You do not know yet when you will reach your final destination. Your journey on earth can suddenly come to an end. It is very important to know where you will be spending eternity. God is a good God and He prepares a heavenly home for all who want to believe in His Son Jesus Christ.

When Jesus was preparing His disciples for His death and resurrection, He said: 'Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am' (John 14:1-3).

A wonderful place

Heaven is a place prepared for everybody who acknowledges that they have sinned and believe in Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Heaven is a wonderful place where there are no sins, no worries, no sorrow, no sickness or death, no fear or pain, but eternal joy, peace, tranquility and where God's glory and divine light shines. When we reach that place, all tears will be wiped from our eyes. Heaven is the place where the throne of God stands and where His army of millions of angels live. Jesus Christ Himself is there and there will be countless multitude from every nation, tribe, generation and language. They will praise and worship Him with a loud voice. The twenty-four elders, the four living creatures and the angels will worship God and proclaim: 'Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!' (Revelation 7:12).

MD.i. Morning Prayer

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. ⏤ Colossians 3:17

There is no wonder more supernatural and divine in the life of a believer than the mystery and ministry of prayer. ⏤ A.W. Tozer

God, as we start another workweek, we ask for Your blessing. Help us carry the rest and lessons of Sunday with us as we face the busy days ahead. Even if we’re too busy for quiet reflection, may the memories of Sunday inspire us throughout the day. Let the songs and prayers of yesterday keep lifting our hearts as we work.

Help us live out what we learned yesterday in our everyday lives. We want our faith to be real in everything we do. We’ve caught glimpses of Your beauty, and now we want that beauty to shine through us. We’ve read Your commandments, and we want to follow them so that our lives reflect Your goodness.

But it’s not always easy to do what’s right. We make good resolutions on Sunday, but during the week, it’s easy to forget them and fall back into old habits. We need more of Your grace to help us stay faithful and do our best. Our spirit is willing, but we often struggle to follow through. Strengthen us, God, so we can keep our promises and live out our intentions to obey and serve You.

Let the spirit of Sunday carry into our week, making it bright with love, truth, and goodness. Help us not to fail in our work, our duties, or our challenges. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
