Is it not terrible to fall for deceptive gestures which could cause your demise! For those who are fond of angling and the use of artificial lures, it is amazing how the attention of fish is drawn by actions such as surface skipping, diving, and popping, as presented by such imitationsattracted with actions such as surface skipping, diving, and popping as presented with such imitated mimics. This mimics hopefully catches the eye of your desired “catch” with lures presented in bright colours, contrasting skirts, flashy and reflective materials and is many a time irresistible. The splashing and bubbling created by the lure's head, also replicate the trail of a struggling fish, simulating a high-value, easy meal worth the energy to pursue. Causing their demise when they have “fallen” for this deception in order to be caught themselves. In this regard, the question is for you and me. Can you, or rather, how do you, resist temptation in your life when it is presented in such an attractive but very deceptive and even fatal way? On a daily base we all face situations where we would react to any given experience. Scripture says in James 4:7 So submit to [the authority of] God. RESIST the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. ‘ while John 10:10 says that the thief (the devil) comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy… which is a warning if you would fall for this deception. We are not fish or animals and have been granted a Spirit of a sound mind according to 2 Tim. 1:7. 1 Peter 1:13+14 instructs us to PREPARE OUR MINDS FOR ACTION, TO BE COMPLETELY SOBER [IN SPIRIT—STEADFAST, SELF-DISCIPLINED, spiritually and morally alert], to fix our hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to us when Jesus Christ is revealed. [Live] as obedient children [of God]; DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THE EVIL DESIRES WHICH GOVERNED YOU IN YOUR IGNORANCE… As such, we CAN RESIST THE TEMPTATIONS OF THIS WORLD AND NOT “FALL FOR THE FALSE ATTRCATIONS WHICH SHALL CAUSE OUR DEMISE” It is our prayer that you shall take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) IN THIS QUEST TO DISCERN THE TRUTH AND NOT FALL FOR DECEPTION of “fake lures”, temptations that come upon our roads. Decide: Decide to follow the Word of God and be directed by Him as He asks the question, in Psalm 119:9 How can a young man keep his way pure (free from sin, temptation, deception and hurt)? By keeping watch [on himself] according to God’s Word [conforming his life to God’s precepts].
