2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV
[1] But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. [2] People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, [3] without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, [4] treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

In the last days, perilous times shall come and then we will witness a rise in the traits mentioned in V2-5. It is our responsibility to ensure that we are not caught up in any of these. The Bible says watch and pray so that you don't fall into temptation.
We pray because our reliance should be on God for by strength shall no man prevail. However, the onus is on us to watch our steps (desires, cravings, inclinations, engagements, nudgings, conversations). After watching, we need to ask the important question: Am I in alignment with the will of God?
Note that the Bible won't ask us to "turn away" if it is beyond our human capability.
