2 Timothy 3:6-7 NIV
@6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, @7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Listening to sermons or gospel music is nice but like Joyce Meyer once said: you cannot afford to be spoon-fed the Word of God. It is important you study your Bible, practice its teachings and build a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. Without these, we'd fail to grow and that could make us victims of deception and preys to sin.
Information is useless until applied and theories would never be above real experiences. You can listen to all the sermons but until you double down on your faith and belief in God, recognizing and "knowing" His truth would be farfetched. [Read 2 Tim. 3:15-17]
