🕊One of the hardest prayers I’ve ever prayed was, “God, let me see people for who they really are—not who I want them to be.” That prayer changed everything. Sometimes we hold onto potential instead of paying attention to patterns. We make excuses because we love people. We ignore red flags because we’re hoping they’ll change. But God doesn’t reveal people’s character to make us bitter—He reveals it to protect us. Not everyone is meant to walk into your next season. Some people are lessons. Some are blessings. And some are reminders of what happens when we ignore God’s warnings. Ask God for discernment, even when the truth hurts. A painful truth will always be better than a comforting lie.
