Identity is not in the name one bears; it is in the purpose such is pursuing. The name of John the Baptist would not have mattered to the Jews that were sent to him. They were looking for the One sent to save the world from its sin – Christ, the Anointed. So, he refused to mention his name when asked who he was but declared his purpose.
The target of the adversary is the pursuit of your purpose which announces your name to your world. You must be fully established in your purpose for that is where your power for relentless pursuit is resident. It is purpose that gives meaning and relevance to a name. Purpose is not just what you are created to do, but also who you are created to be. Bother not what you are called but rather let no situation or circumstance re-define who you are! This is your day.
