Christians who aren’t experienced soul-winners might think someone who prays with you to get saved instantly becomes Christlike. That person might say or do things that could prompt them to question if they really meant that prayer. I recall saying something to my brother-in-law the day after he led me to the Lord and realized my comment was inappropriate. Even though a new believer’s spirit is reborn, their mind still needs renewing. It takes time to grow up spiritually. Philippians 1:6 says, “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
