Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY JULY 10, 2026.
"THE IMPORTANCE OF FELLOWSHIP"

‘…You are members of God’s family.’  Ephesians 2:19 NLT

Nathaniel Hawthorne said, ‘No man, for any period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which is the true one.’ We like to wear masks in public, yet, only as we open up to one another can we truly change and grow. ‘…If we live in the light…we can share fellowship with each other…’ (1John 1:7 NCV). One author writes: ‘The world mistakenly thinks that intimacy occurs in the dark, but God says it happens in the light. Darkness hides our issues, but, when we are able to bring them out into the light, they lose their power, we find forgiveness, our wounded areas are healed and we begin to make progress.’ We’re afraid of transparency, yet it’s the only way to become spiritually and emotionally whole. None of us is as strong individually as all of us are collectively. We’re more consistent in our faith when others walk with us and encourage us. Over and over in the New Testament we’re told to be devoted to one another, submit to one another, forgive one another, bear one another’s burdens, honour one another, accept one another, teach one another, serve one another, encourage one another, pray for one another and love one another. You’re not responsible for everyone in your church, but you are responsible to them. God expects you to do whatever you can to serve them. Paul challenged the believers in Rome, saying, ‘…I want us to help each other…Your faith will help me and my faith will help you’ (Romansf 1:12 NCV). That’s what it’s all about!

MD.ii. HOW TO HAVE AUTHORITY OVER THE EVIL ONE

"I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you." - Luke 10:19

This is important! Through Jesus Christ I have authority over the evil one. I want you to wake up and go to bed with this truth: 'I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.' The good news is that Jesus Christ has come to set us free from the power of the evil one. That is why I am so happy. My soul was in captivity. However, Jesus Christ came and delivered my soul. That is why I can sing every morning: 'I am so happy. I am so blessed!' He who has the Son is truly free!

Jesus can set you free

There are a lot of evil spirits and many people suffer from them. There are people who have a spirit of depression. Jesus can set you free. Many suffer from insomnia. Jesus can set you free from this, so you will be able to sleep well again. Perhaps you have a spirit of suspicion: you do not trust anything. Jesus can set you free from this. Many suffer from jealousy. Jesus wants to set you free from this. You may be so stingy that you think twice before spending a penny, while this is not necessary. Dear readers, Jesus wants to set you free from this, so you can have a pleasant life. There are spirits of impurity. Jesus can set you free from this. You can overcome this with Jesus.

There are other evil spirits: the urge to steal; it is a power. Diseases; Jesus also came to take over all our diseases. Fears, addictions, suicidal spirits, lying spirits, etc. Are you filled with the Spirit of God today? Jesus said that He has given us authority to overcome all evil powers. He says: 'Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest' (Matthew 11:28). Jesus lives!

2. Morning Prayer for today.

MP.i. Morning Prayer

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. ⏤ Psalm 143:8

Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. ⏤ E.M. Bounds

Almighty God, our Father, another day has begun, and we want to start it with You. If we spend a little time talking with You, we’ll be ready to face whatever comes our way. If we can look into Your face and feel Your presence with us, we won’t be afraid to face any danger.

We thank You for the rest we had last night. Many people didn’t make it through the night—but here we are, alive and well. Now, we give ourselves to You for this new day. We want to make it a holy day, and we ask for the grace to do so. May Your word guide our steps and light our path. Let its teachings stay in our hearts, and give us the grace to follow them. Lead us according to Your word. Don’t let sin control us. Don’t take Your Holy Spirit away from us. Restore the joy of Your salvation to us.

Our trust is in Jesus Christ alone. We’re not worthy on our own, because we’ve sinned and our hearts are flawed. But Jesus died for us, and in His name, we come to You, asking for Your favor and blessing. We thank You for Your love, from which nothing—neither death nor life—can separate us. May we remain in Your love, and may Your peace always be with us.

We ask for a blessing on everyone we interact with today. Help them become Your friends. Draw them closer to You. Help us to live in a way that makes them think of You and the realities of Heaven. May we speak Your words to those who are hurting or lost, and may Your grace and peace flow through us to others. We place our hands in Yours as we go out today. Lead us, bless us, keep us, and use us! We ask in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
