Good evening, brethren.
1. Evening devotion for today.
ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
*DATE:*
FRIDAY 10TH JULY, 2026.
*SUB-THEME:*
THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD'S GRACE.
*TOPIC:*
DESTRUCTION.
*TEXT:*
GALATIANS 6:7-8.
7 Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. Luk 16:25 1Co 6:10 [Job 4:8] [2Co 9:6]
8 The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
*TOPIC:*
DESTRUCTION.
*THE MESSAGE:*
Destruction is a state of damage that renders an item unusable or irreparable. Today's text makes it clear that the merciful and gracious God cannot be mocked. Everyone reaps what he sows or does in this life. Those who choose to live an immoral life to gratify their flesh will reap destruction. They will experience separation from God and cannot be restored once their life on earth is over. Only those who live to please the Spirit will reap eternal life. Acts such as bitterness, paedophilia, sowing seeds of discord, bestiality, corruption, yahoo-yahoo, embezzlement, and so on are sowing to the flesh. Those who practice these are heading towards destruction. Do not reject God's grace and perish in this situation. God is ever willing to repair your life.
*REFLECTION:*
Avoid the path of destruction!
*PRAYER:*
Merciful Father, help me to sow to the Spirit in Jesus' name. Amen.
*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
HEBREWS 10:29.
How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
ECCLESIASTES 1-6.
ED.ii. ```DAILY ANNA - (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR ADULTS)
FRIDAY 10TH JULY, 2026```
*CONSEQUENCES OF TRAFFICKING IN IDOLATRY* 🫵🏽🏽🏽🏽🏽🏽🏽
```TEXT:ISAIAH 42:17-25```
```KEY VERSE:``` _*"They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods" (ISAIAH 42:17).*_
*It was the author J. C. Ryle in his book, _Practical Religion_ who says, "Beware of manufacturing a God of your own: a God who is all mercy, but not just; a God who is all love, but not holy; a God who has a heaven for everybody, but a hell for none;... such a God is an idol of your own creation. He is not God of the Bible, and aside from the God of the Bible, there is no God at all." In today's Bible passage, Prophet Isaiah furthered the prophecy concerning the Messiah's kingdom typified by that of Cyrus. It hints at the great success of the gospel and the Church, the defeat of the enemies of the Church and the rejection of the unbelieving and Christ-rejecting Jews. The prophecy particularly points out how those who subscribe to idle worship in the face of all these would be ashamed of their stance.*
*A call is here given to the spiritually blind and deaf Israel, and by extension professing believers and ministers: "Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see". Those who would remain obstinate and unbelieving would be allowed to suffer the consequences of their sin. This was the case of Israel who violated God's law and remained misguided even under the correcting rod of God.*
*Sin has consequences and idolatrous sins have weightier and more lethal consequences. Idolatry is a flagrant affront against the deity of God. He who goes awhoring after any tin god belittles the Almighty as secondary to that which he enthrones in his heart. This act attracts the hot displeasure of God.*
*If your personality, pursuit, power or possession becomes the primary attraction that distracts you from God, you are digging an abysmal pit for yourself. He who desires to shake off God's wrath should humbly submit his heart to the Lord. Let God be the sole administrator sitting on the throne of your heart. Only then will you savour the blessings of Christ's kingdom.*

2. Evening Prayer gor today.
EP.i. Evening Prayer
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. ⏤ Psalm 16:7
It is not enough to begin to pray, nor to pray aright; nor is it enough to continue for a time to pray, but we must patiently, believingly continue in prayer until we obtain an answer. ⏤ George Müller
We come to You, O God, for Your blessing at the end of this day. It’s dark around us—but darkness and light are the same to You. Your care is as perfect and full of blessings in the night as it is in the day.
This has been a good day for us. You’ve led us along paths we didn’t know, and we couldn’t have found without Your guidance. Forgive us if we weren’t always willing to follow Your way. If any of us have strayed from the right path, forgive us and bring us back before we sleep. We want to follow Your plan for our lives, and we don’t want to ruin it by choosing our own foolish way.
Now, as the day ends, we lay all our work before You. Nothing is truly finished until it has Your blessing. Bless the work of our hands. Correct our mistakes. Complete the beauty that we only began to sketch with our poor efforts. Make all our work holy, and take it into Your hands to be part of Your great plan.
We ask You to bless the people we’ve met today with the influence of our lives on them. If we didn’t live in a way that truly represented Jesus, please forgive us. Let no harm come from our errors.
We pray for all our friends everywhere. We pray for the sick, for those who are lonely tonight, for the sailors on the sea, for those facing temptation, the weary, the sorrowful. We ask all these blessings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
