TITLE: "The Seed That Brings a Great Harvest"
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)
John 12:24 (KJV) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."
1 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV) "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase."
QUOTE TO REFLECT ON
"Every great harvest begins with a seed surrendered to God and nurtured by His grace."
DAY'S REFLECTION
God's kingdom operates on the principle of sowing, sacrifice, and growth. Jesus taught that a grain of wheat must fall into the ground and die before it can produce much fruit. What appears to be loss is often the beginning of multiplication. Many of God's greatest blessings come after seasons of sacrifice, patience, and faithful obedience.
Paul also reminds us that while people have different responsibilities—some plant and others water—it is God who gives the increase. Our duty is to be faithful in what He has entrusted to us, while trusting Him for the results. We cannot force growth, but we can remain obedient and diligent.
Consider a farmer who sows quality seed into fertile soil. For days or even weeks, nothing appears above the ground. Yet beneath the surface, life is developing. If the farmer becomes impatient and digs up the seed, the harvest will be lost. Instead, he continues watering and waiting, confident that growth is taking place. Likewise, God's work in our lives often happens unseen before it becomes visible.
Perhaps you have been sowing seeds of prayer, kindness, service, generosity, or faithful labour without seeing immediate results. Do not lose heart. God sees every seed you sow, and in His perfect time He will bring forth a harvest that honours Him.
Today, remain faithful in planting good seeds. Trust God to bring the increase, knowing that no labour done for Him is ever wasted.
MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) WITH FULL VERSES
Galatians 6:9 (KJV) "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
