Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. TUESDAY JULY 14, 2026.
"ARE YOU 'STEPHEN'?"

'โ€ฆAnd they chose Stephenโ€ฆโ€™ย  Acts 6:5 NKJV

THE NEW Testament church grew so fast that the administrative aspect of it became overwhelming. The apostles werenโ€™t getting enough time to pray and study the Scriptures, so they picked seven men to handle the business side of things. Stephen was one of them. For the next few days letโ€™s examine his qualifications: financial integrity. โ€˜โ€ฆSeek out from among you seven men of good reputationโ€ฆwhom we may appoint over this businessโ€™ (v. 3 NKJV). Now, it goes without saying that if youโ€™re going to handle the churchโ€™s finances, you must first have a proven track record in handling your own. That calls for saving, sowing and spending wisely. It also means putting God first in your finances. Hereโ€™s a biblical question you need to think about: โ€˜Will a man rob God?โ€™ Apparently, yes. God said, โ€˜โ€ฆYou have robbed Me! But you say, โ€In what way have we robbed You?โ€ In tithes and offeringsโ€™ (Malachi 3:8 NKJV). Maybe youโ€™re thinking, โ€˜Uh-oh, here comes the commercial!โ€™ No, tithing isnโ€™t a matter of money, but of priorities. God doesnโ€™t want your leftovers, He wants your โ€˜first-fruitsโ€™ (Proverbs 3:9). Tithing is also a matter of obedience. โ€˜If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperityโ€ฆโ€™ (Job 36:11 NKJV). When it comes to leadership in Godโ€™s work, if youโ€™re not 10% ย behind it, how can you be 100% ย behind it? If youโ€™re not already doing it, try tithing your income for one year. Itโ€™s like going into partnership with God. He promises to โ€˜โ€ฆpour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive itโ€™ (Malachi 3:10 NKJV).

2. Morning Prayer for today.

MP.i. Morning Prayer

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all MEMBE EDRINE NSUBUGA liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. โค James 1:5

Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work. โค Oswald Chambers

Our Father in Heaven, we, Your children, gather at Your feet this morning to start the day with You. We seek Your blessing before we go out. We arenโ€™t strong enough on our own for the tasks ahead today, so we ask for Your strength. We canโ€™t resist the temptations weโ€™ll face without Your help, so we ask for the grace to overcome them. We donโ€™t always know the best choices to make, so we pray for the wisdom to walk in holiness.

Graciously remember us, Your children, O God, and donโ€™t hold our sins against us. Instead, in Your mercy, bless and save us. Teach us to do Your will. Help us to live today in a way that pleases You. Let us not grieve You or hurt Your heart of love through carelessness, unbelief, or disobedience.

We ask You to bless us in our work and all our daily duties. Help us to be faithful in everything we do and skilled in our work. Help us to see our everyday tasks as part of our Fatherโ€™s business. In this way, may we glorify You through the work of our hands.

We donโ€™t just pray for ourselves and our own home. We pray for our neighbors. May Your blessing rest on their homes. Some of them donโ€™t know You. No prayers rise to You from their homes. Have mercy on them. Bless the children who have no one to pray for them. Let Your peace rest on the homes of those who love You.

Receive us now into Your care as we go out into the unknown experiences of this day. Keep us safe and bring us back together in peace at the end of the day. We ask all this in Jesusโ€™ precious name. Amen.
