🕊I never fully understood what “The Lord is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.” (Psalm 118:14) meant until I reached a point where I honestly had nothing left in me. There were days I was mentally exhausted, emotionally drained, and trying so hard to hold everything together. I kept telling myself I just needed to be stronger, push a little harder, figure it out on my own. But the more I tried to carry it all, the heavier it became. Looking back, I can see that the days I somehow made it through weren’t because I was strong enough. They were because God was carrying me when I didn’t even realize it. He gave me peace when nothing around me had changed. He protected me from things I couldn’t see. He kept me going when I was ready to quit. Now when I read that verse, it feels personal. My strength has never really been about how much I can handle. It’s about knowing that when I run out of strength, I serve a God who never does.
