FIVE POINTS ON SALVATION:
(1) It was something which the Corinthians had received.
(2) It was something in which the Corinthians stood.
(3) It was something in which they were being saved.
(4) It was something which people had to hold firmly.
(5) It was something which must not be held haphazardly and at random. (unless you have come to believe in vain.)
Four elements of the kerygma (Basic evangelistic message proclaimed by the earliest Christians.) are given: (1) “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures”; (2) Christ “was buried”; (3) Christ “was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures”; and (4) Christ “appeared” to the apostles and to other people. These four doctrines are as important today as they were in New Testament times.
