DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 198
DATE: 17TH JULY 2026
TOPIC: LOVE YOURSELF _5
Anchor Scripture: Psalm 139:14 (NKJV)
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
Devotional message:
As we continue with our series on Love Yourself, we have learned that loving yourself involves forgiving yourself, forgiving others, taking care of your health, and living with eternity in view. Today, we discover another important truth: see yourself the way God sees you.
The psalmist declares that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." This means that every believer is God's unique workmanship, created intentionally and with divine purpose. You are not an accident, a mistake, or an afterthought. God fashioned you with excellence and placed unique gifts, abilities, and purpose within you. In His eyes, you are valuable and precious.
Therefore, do not allow the opinions, criticisms, or negative words of people to determine your identity or self-worth. People's opinions may change, but God's Word remains forever. Instead of viewing yourself through the lens of rejection or comparison, choose to see yourself through the lens of Scripture. Your identity is found in Christ, not in the approval or criticism of others.
Loving yourself also means appreciating the person God created you to be. Do not wait for others to celebrate, affirm, or compliment you before you value yourself. Be thankful for the life God has given you. Speak words of life over yourself. Remind yourself daily that you are loved by God, chosen by Him, and created for His glory. Encourage yourself in the Lord just as David did during difficult moments.
This is not pride or self-exaltation; it is agreeing with what God says about you. As you continually declare His truth over your life, your confidence will be rooted in Him rather than in the opinions of people. When others speak negatively about you, their words will not define you because you already know who you are in Christ.
Child of God, celebrate the masterpiece God created. Walk in confidence, humility, and gratitude. Refuse to allow insecurity, comparison, or rejection to shape your identity. Let your worth be established by God's Word, and live each day knowing that you are fearfully and wonderfully made for His purpose.
True self-worth is found in seeing yourself through God's eyes and embracing the identity He has given you in Christ.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me fearfully and wonderfully. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and not through the opinions of people. Remove every spirit of rejection, insecurity, and comparison from my heart. Teach me to embrace the identity You have given me in Christ and to speak words of life over myself each day. May my confidence be rooted in Your truth and my life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
