THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY JULY 19, 2026 SURRENDERING TO GOD'S WILL A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Luke 22:42 NKJV. Despite impending trials, the LORD Jesus remains focused on His mission, demonstrating total surrender to God’s will with unwavering devotion. Unwavering devotion is a daily choice that is shaped by full surrender, total trust in God's will for your life; the hunger and desire to live for, and please Him, and the persistent pursuit of things of eternal value. These things are not about being perfect, but rather, they are about being committed to follow Him wherever He leads. The LORD Jesus models surrender to God’s will for us in the Garden of Gethsemane, and demonstrates that surrender (to the will of God) is not weakness, rather, it is strength in faith. You can take a cue from the LORD Jesus' unwavering devotion to the will of the Father and earn yourself the mileage of eternity in His presence. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, thank You for modelling surrender, and demonstrating unwavering devotion to the Father's will to me. Grant me Your grace to align myself with Your examples.
