DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 201
DATE: 20TH JULY 2026
TOPIC: BEFORE THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:10 (NKJV)
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad."
Devotional message:
The Apostle Paul reminds believers that one day every person will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. On that day, God will not judge us according to our public reputation or the opinions people held about us. Rather, He will judge us according to how we truly lived before Him. Our private life reveals who we really are, for God sees beyond outward appearances and looks at the heart.
Many people today have made men their audience instead of God. They strive to appear righteous before others while secretly battling compromise and living in sin. They are more concerned with protecting their reputation than maintaining a pure relationship with God. Yet Scripture reminds us that nothing is hidden from the Lord. He sees every thought, motive, conversation, and action, whether done in public or in secret.
As children of God, our greatest desire should be to please Him rather than to gain the approval of people. This requires a lifestyle of holiness, purity, integrity, and obedience. Whether in our workplaces, businesses, families, ministries, or daily conversations, our conduct should reflect the character of Christ. We must be honest in our dealings, truthful in our speech, faithful in our responsibilities, and loving toward others, knowing that we ultimately serve the Lord.
When the love of God fills our hearts, obedience becomes our delight rather than a burden. Love for Christ compels us to reject anything that grieves the Holy Spirit. It causes us to sacrifice sinful pleasures so that we may remain in close fellowship with Him. As we continually abide in His Word and yield to the Holy Spirit, the character of Christ is formed within us, and our lives become a living testimony of His transforming grace.
Child of God, remember that Christianity is more than attending church services or quoting Scripture. True discipleship is demonstrated through a life that consistently reflects Christ, both in public and in private. Live each day with the awareness that God is your audience. Let your secret life honor Him just as much as your public life, so that when you stand before Christ, you may receive His commendation and enter into the joy of your Lord.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that You see both my public and private life. Create in me a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me to live with integrity, holiness, and obedience, not to impress people but to please You alone. Let the character of Christ be evident in every area of my life, and may I remain faithful until the day I stand before You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
