Test Yourself
Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don't drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups……. 2 Corinthians 13:5 (MSG)
Progress is not to get ahead of others, but to get ahead of yourself. It is to break your own records, outstrip your yesterday by today, outshine whatever light you believed you have given to others, and outdo what you considered your best hitherto now. Your future depends on many things, but mostly on you. What you allow to happen in your mind will happen in time.
Get accustomed to setting standards that will take 110% of you to achieve. It will take more than you to take what you believe is due to you. Whenever you see a successful person, you are looking at someone who is taking risks and making courageous decisions. It is decisions that determine destiny. Those who are slow at decisions eventually decline. No one reaches the top without daring. And no one can defeat you unless you first defeat yourself. This is your day.

Prayer: Father Lord, fill me with the need to see myself clearly—my thoughts, my habits, and my reactions—without fear and without harsh judgment. When I measure my progress, help me to see where I align with Your purposes, and give me the grace to correct where I fall short. Let my standard be one of continual growth, rooted in love, patience, and integrity in Jesus’ name.
