ASK NOT WHAT GOD CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR GOD!......
a reminder by Jacinda

As we scroll through our social media pages, we often see prayers asking God for things we need or want? While, this is good and honorable do we ever stop and ask our creator what He might need from us? Understandably God technically does not “need”anything from us However, He wants us to be open to him. He wants to be our friend. Do we only talk to a friend or family member when we need or want something? Sure He wants to know what we need from him, He also wants to know we are willing to serve him. How much would our lives be more fruitful if we start our prayers by asking Him what He needs from us and how we could serve Him? The Holy Spirit will guide us in fulfilling this for our Heavenly Father. Start by asking God to use us as his vessel, to allow his words to flow from our mouths.
Ask as He blesses us, how we can be a blessing to others. It might be a simple warm smile to a stranger, or maybe it is spreading His Word to others. God does not want us to be robots. Be yourself, He loves us just the way He created us and He created us perfectly in His image.
Our Heavenly Father wants us to be simply open for him to work through us. We never know what the day holds for us. We may come across a lot or very little, or none. The point is how we surrender ourselves daily to be a vessel unto him.
God’s word says “ But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” ( Matthew 6:33 ) Start your morning prayer routine not asking what God can do for you, but what you can do for God!!
