ASK NOT WHAT GOD CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR GOD!......
    a reminder by Jacinda

As we scroll through our social media pages, we often see prayers asking God for things we need or want? While, this is good and honorable do we ever stop and ask our creator what He might need from us? Understandably God technically does not “need”anything from us However, He wants us to be open to him. He wants to be our friend. Do we only talk to a friend or family member when we need or want something? Sure He wants to know what we need from him, He also wants to know we are willing to serve him. How much would our lives be more fruitful if we start our prayers by asking Him what He needs from us and how we could serve Him? The Holy Spirit will guide us in fulfilling this for our Heavenly Father. Start by asking God to use us as his vessel, to allow his words to flow from our mouths.
Ask as He blesses us, how we can be a blessing to others. It might be a simple warm smile to a stranger, or maybe it is spreading His Word to others. God does not want us to be robots. Be yourself, He loves us just the way He created us and He created us perfectly in His image.
Our Heavenly Father wants us to be simply open for him to work through us. We never know what the day holds for us. We may come across a lot or very little, or none. The point is how we surrender ourselves daily to be a vessel unto him.
God’s word says “ But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” ( Matthew 6:33 ) Start your morning prayer routine not asking what God can do for you, but what you can do for God!!

    DEBORAH
    Leadership we can learn from!
    by Denise Roberts

Deborah was unique in many ways. She was the only female judge recorded in Scripture, a prophetess, a wife, and a leader during one of Israel’s most difficult seasons. While many judges struggled with character and integrity, Deborah stands as an example of godly leadership. Following her victory, Israel experienced forty years of peace, twice as long as the previous period of peace.

What makes Deborah particularly relevant today is how she led. While kings and rulers built palaces and fortified strongholds to project power, Deborah held court under the Palm of Deborah, out in the open where people could easily approach her. She did not rely on titles, walls, or gatekeepers to establish authority. Her influence was built on trust, wisdom, and relational credibility. In a modern world obsessed with status and hierarchy, Deborah reminds us that true leadership comes from being accessible and trustworthy.

When a crisis arose, Deborah did not try to do everything herself. She called Barak and reminded him of his responsibility. Even when he refused to go without her, she put aside any concern for recognition and simply went to support him. Deborah understood that leadership is not about controlling every outcome but about empowering others to step into their God given roles. Great leaders do not create followers; they develop other leaders.

Deborah was not a token leader. Her position was established through wisdom, competence, and godly character. People sought her counsel because of who she was and what she carried, not because of her gender. Her life reminds us that effective leadership is ultimately measured by integrity, wisdom, and results.

Perhaps most remarkably, Deborah refused to be confined to a single role. Scripture presents her as a prophetess, judge, wife, military strategist, and songwriter. She demonstrates that God often calls people to serve in more than one area and that our identity is not limited to a single title.

Deborah’s life challenges modern leaders to build influence through character rather than position, empower others rather than control them, and remain faithful to God’s calling regardless of expectations or limitations.

    OF MARRIAGE & FAMILY
    By Evelyn Thamu

Marriage and family have always been close to my heart, even in seasons where life hasn’t looked the way I once imagined. Being separated has not changed my belief in the beauty and purpose of marriage, it has only deepened my understanding of God’s design and desire for it.

In Malachi 2, we are reminded that God seeks **godly offspring**. This means that marriage is not just about companionship or personal happiness, but about building a foundation where faith, character, and righteousness are nurtured in the next generation. A godly family becomes a place where children learn to love God, honor His word, and walk in truth.

God calls us to walk in holiness and righteousness, not only as individuals but within our families. Holiness is reflected in how we speak, how we forgive, how we remain faithful, and how we choose to honor God even when it is difficult. Righteousness is lived out daily through obedience, humility, and love. Even when marriages face challenges or seasons of separation, God still desires that we align our lives with His will and continue growing spiritually.

Family, in its truest form, is not just about structure, it is about reflecting God’s heart. It is about extending grace, choosing love, and seeking God in every season. Whether together or apart, we are still called to live in a way that honors Him and sets an example for those around us.

I hold onto the hope that God restores, heals, and completes what concerns us. His plans are always greater than our circumstances.

1 Peter 5:10 – "And the God of all grace... will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."

    DECISIONS
    By Peace Agboire

According to behavioral psychology, a moderate estimate suggests that the average person makes between one and ten thousand decisions every day. If this number alone doesn’t emphasize the importance of decision-making, consider this: our approach to seemingly trivial choices, like what to wear or what to eat strongly influences the weighty decisions in our lives. Although we are not keen on the number of decisions, we are more concerned about the seasons that would require destiny-defining decisions.

Queen Esther, a woman in Scripture, lived a life worthy of recommendation. The Scripture says, “Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” At this pivotal moment, she had to choose between survival and stepping into a life-threatening mission for the sake of her people, and the first thing she did was seek divine help.

Isn't it surprising how often our decisions, both small and great, are made subconsciously without God, yet we turn to Him only when facing the consequences? The way we approach minor decisions not only shapes the outcomes of greater ones, but our daily dependence on God prepares us for life’s pivotal moments.

Esther didn’t act that day in a way she had never acted before. She had cultivated a lifestyle of dependence on God, and when the moment came, remembering Him was instinctive. Whether you make one decision or a thousand in a day, let every choice begin with God.

    PRAYER
    by CARLA CAREY

My husband and I steward a simple prayer ministry that we believe God Himself initiated. All glory to Him He is good!

We certainly pray in church gatherings and in our living room, but some of our sweetest moments happen “on the way.” Matthew 18:20 reminds us that whenever two or three gather in Jesus’ name whether in a parking lot, a grocery aisle, or a doctor’s waiting room He is present, and the place becomes holy ground.

Often the people we approach turn around and ask to pray for us a gift we never take for granted. While a passer-by may occasionally object, most encounters end with grateful smiles, hugs, or even tears.

Once a store manager asked us not to pray aloud after a customer complained. We paused briefly, then sensed the Spirit nudging us to continue; Acts 5:29 “We must obey God rather than men” came to mind.
In another shop a clerk simply said, “No praying in here,” so we stepped outside and finished the prayer there.

During seasons when we couldn’t go out especially the COVID-19 lockdown God flipped the script and brought people to our door. Repairmen, painters, and neighbors arrived with needs, and the Lord met them.

We now pray online and by phone as well. The Holy Spirit is not limited by distance or bandwidth!

If God prompts you to step out in similar ways, do it. Expect the occasional “thank you,” maybe a tear-filled hug, and always the joy of seeing Jesus work. Keep running the race marked out for us Hebrews 12:1-3.

Praise God He is always faithful to His promises!

    ANXIETY
By Dr. Hilda Ramirez, from Venezuala she is an evangelical Christian passionate about God.,

    What is Anxiety?
“Anxiety,” feelings of excessive worry, recurring negative thoughts, irrational fear, nervousness, irritability, insecurity, and recurring negative thoughts. Your mind can anticipate negative scenarios and constantly repeat negative thoughts about unpleasant situations from the past or present. It is defined as a mood of unease or restlessness, fear and nervousness. This entire mental state can trigger physical symptoms such as tachycardia, chest pain, and difficulty breathing; it can also increase the risk of suffering from certain diseases, including heart attacks or cancer

Lasting relief from anxiety is found in the Person and promises of Jesus Christ. Because He has already carried your sins, your future, and your everyday needs to the cross, you can “cast all your cares on Him” knowing that He lovingly shoulders them for you 1 Peter 5:7.
Promises of John 14:27 Teaches us that Christ is the only source of our peace.
Philippians 4:6-7 asks us not to be anxious for anything.
Peace is not the absence of problems but God’s active guard around your heart and mind when you pray with thanksgiving.
Isaiah 26:3 Those whose Steadfast thoughts are fixed on God are kept in perfect peace.
Matthew 6:25-34 God’s fatherly care for birds and lilies is your daily reminder that worrying about tomorrow is unnecessary and unproductive.
These passages do not deny that real dangers or difficulties exist; they announce that none of them outrank the sovereign care of your Heavenly Father.
How does one turn these promises into practice?
    1. Pray 1 Peter 5:7
    • Name each worry aloud or in writing.
    • Finish by thanking God for specific past faithfulness, remember gratitude starves anxiety.
    2. Soak in the Word Psalm 1:2
    • Choose one “peace promise”John 14:27; Romans 8:32 memorize and repeat whenever anxious thoughts intrude.
    • Read Matthew 6:25-34 each morning this week, asking, “Which of Christ’s reasons not to worry do I need most today?”
    3. Renew Your Mind Romans 12:2
    • When fearful thoughts of “what-if” surfaces, answer with a “God-is” truth.
Example: “What if I fail?”..... “God is my refuge and strength” Psalm 46:1.
    • Keep a written “truth list” to review.
    4. Engage the Body of Christ Hebrews 10:24-25
    • Share your struggle with a mature believer who will pray with you and remind you of truth.
    • Corporate worship realigns perspective an anxious heart shrinks in the presence of a big God.
    5. Receive Common-Grace Help.
    • Persistent, debilitating anxiety can signal medical or psychological concerns. God’s good gifts include skilled physicians and counselors. Seeking such help is not a lack of faith but stewardship of the body and mind He gave you.
    Pray
Father, You know every anxious thought before I speak it. I confess I cannot secure my life, my loved ones, or my future. Because You did not spare Your own Son but gave Him up for me, I trust You to give me what I need. I place ___________ (name the worry) in Your hands. Guard my heart and mind with the peace of Christ . Help me seek your kingdom first.
    In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

    Hope for Tomorrow
Lamentations 3:22-23. Walk through today with the Prince of Peace, and when the sun rises again, His faithfulness will still be waiting at your doorstep.

    Be blessed !

SHE IS NOT STRIVING SHE IS BECOMING!
    by Denise Roberts

We often read Proverbs 31 as a checklist, measuring ourselves against a woman who seems impossible to imitate. But she was never meant to be a standard of pressure she is a picture of transformation.

This woman is not defined by perfection, but by posture.
She fears the Lord. She trusts Him. She shows up faithfully in the ordinary, and over time, something beautiful is formed.

She is strong but not because she never gets tired.
She is wise but not because she knows everything.
She is fruitful but not because she does it all.

She has learned where her strength comes from.

Proverbs 31 is not about doing more. It’s about becoming a woman who is rooted in God’s presence. A woman whose life, in every season, quietly reflects His character.

    Some days she leads.
    Some days she rests.
    Some days she rebuilds.

    And all of it matters.

You don’t have to live up to her.
You are invited to walk with God and let Him shape you into who He has already seen from the beginning.

Charm fades. Strength wavers. Seasons change.
But a woman who fears the Lord she is held, sustained, and deeply known.

And that kind of woman is not striving to be enough.

    She already belongs!

    JESUS
    KNOW ABOUT HIM
    VS
    KNOWING HIM INTIMATELY

Knowing about Jesus is like recognizing a famous person’s photo; knowing Jesus intimately is like sharing life with a closest friend who is also your Savior and King. One is information that can leave the heart untouched; the other is a living relationship that reshapes desires, decisions, and destiny.
Knowing about Jesus is second-hand information facts: dates, doctrines, miracles, ethical teachings from sermons, books, podcasts, classrooms. its Intellectual agreement “I believe these things are historically true” without yielding the will. No personal transformation required A person can admire Jesus yet keep the throne of the heart for self James 2:19. from scripture we see crowds around Jesus heard His words, ate His bread, and still turned away when His teaching cut too closeJohn 6:66).

However knowing Jesus intimately is a covenant relationship that trusts Christ’s finished work John 17:3. Receiving Him as Lord and Savior Romans 10:9-10. On believing there is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit unites us to Christ, crying “Abba, Father” in our hearts Galatians 4:6. A helper for us to have and ongoing communion with God.

Prayer becomes conversation, not ritual Philippians 4:6-7. Scripture becomes God’s personal voice, not merely ancient text Hebrews 4:12 fruit becomes evident, Growing love, joy, obedience, repentance John 15:5
    1 John 2:3-6.
A new hunger and longing for holiness and mission 2 Corinthians 5:14-17. The apostle Paul counted all previous religious credentials as loss “because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” Philippians 3:8.

Moving from Facts to Fellowship means we repent and believe the gospel Turn from self-rule; entrust your life to Christ’s mercy and kingship. Immerse yourself in Scripture with a listening heart Ask, “Lord, what are You showing me about Yourself and about following You?” Cultivate prayer that is honest and expectant Praise, confess, thank, and petition then sit quietly to listen. Obey promptly, even in small matters Intimacy grows where trust is demonstrated John 14:21. Walk in Christian community Share your story, receive accountability, partake of the Lord’s Table, serve the needy. Keep short accounts with sin Daily confession keeps fellowship unhindered 1 John 1:9.

Obstacles we face are pride: “I already know enough.” Hidden sin: cherished idols dull spiritual appetite. Busyness and distraction: relationship starves without unhurried time. Pain and disappointment: unresolved suffering can close the heart bring it to Jesus honestly.
    Matthew 11:28-30.

You see Jesus does not invite you merely to study His résumé; He offers Himself. When you draw near, He delights to reveal more of His heart Revelation 3:20. The same grace that forgives also empowers intimacy, keep coming, keep trusting, keep responding.

    “Let us press on to know the LORD;
His going out is sure as the dawn.” Hosea 6:3
May the Holy Spirit kindle in you not just to know, but to have a deep friendship with the living Christ leading to a life that echoes His love and truth.

    BE BLESSED
