GOD'S EXTRAVAGANT PROVISION
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?"
Matthew 6:25-26 NKJV.
Our LORD Jesus Christ teaches us in our anchor Scripture above, that God takes care of the birds of the air, and that we, being made in His image and likeness, are much more valuable to Him.
With a cursory inward reflection you will see ways and areas God has provided for you in the past, and trust that He will continue to do so abundantly.
Paul, the apostle, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit is reminding us that God 'is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think....' His provision goes beyond our expectations.
Take out a few moments and ruminate on God's provisions to you in the past, you can meticulously make a list of them, and use it as a reminder of His faithfulness and provision to you. Whenever you are faced with doubts or uncertainties, make a reference to this list to strengthen your faith in His ability to exceed your expectations and maintain His extravagant provision.
PRAYER BULLETS:
ABBA Father, thank You for Your extravagant provisions. Continually remind me of Your faithfulness whenever I am tempted to worry about my needs.
Help me to trust that You are able to go beyond my expectations and provide abundantly for me.
