The Virtuous Wife as the Church and the Husband as Christ

However, throughout Scripture, marriage is also a picture of the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-32).

Therefore, we can make a typological and spiritual application of this passage to the Church, while preserving its original meaning.
