Monday, 27th July, 2026 TITLE: "Building a Lasting Godly Legacy" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Psalm 112:6 (KJV) "Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance." Proverbs 13:22 (KJV) "A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "The greatest inheritance you can leave is not merely wealth, but a legacy of faith, righteousness, and godly influence." DAY'S REFLECTION A meaningful life is measured not only by what we achieve but also by what we leave behind. The psalmist declares that the righteous will be remembered because their lives are founded on faithfulness, integrity, and reverence for God. Their influence continues long after they are gone because they lived for purposes greater than themselves. Proverbs teaches that a good person leaves an inheritance for future generations. While this includes wise stewardship of material resources, it also points to something even more valuable—a spiritual inheritance of faith, godly character, wisdom, and love for God. Children and grandchildren often remember the prayers, values, and example of faithful parents and grandparents long after material possessions have faded. Consider a grandfather who faithfully gathered his family every evening to read Scripture and pray. He was not the richest man in his community, but years later his children and grandchildren continued walking with God because of the example he had set. His greatest legacy was not found in property or possessions but in the faith he passed on from one generation to the next. Every decision you make today is shaping tomorrow's legacy. Live honourably, serve faithfully, love generously, and walk closely with God. Build a life that points others to Christ, so that when your journey on earth is complete, your testimony will continue to inspire generations to come. Wise stewardship honours God and blesses others. 5. Our daily choices shape the legacy we leave behind. EVERYDAY ACTION Encourage a younger person in the faith. Live with integrity in every decision. Share God's Word with your family. Invest in things that have eternal value. PRAYER Heavenly Father, help me to live a life that honours You and leaves a lasting legacy of faith for future generations. In Jesus' name, Amen.
