We believers ARE Holy because we are in Christ. We have the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. There can be no better righteousness than that. It isn't our holiness. It is his.

Do we deserve such designation by God? No, of course not. That's grace. It is undeserved, unmerited, unearned favor from God through our faith in his son Jesus who was crucified as payment for our sins.

So, we believers are seen by God as holy, sanctified, justified, clean, worthy and acceptable not by our performance but by our position. Where is the believer positioned? The believer is securely positioned in Christ.
