We believers receive the blessed Holy Spirit, the writer and giver of the law. He leads us into all the truth, just as Jesus promised. So, I have two important questions. Do you trust what Jesus said about that to be true? Do you believe you are being led by the Holy Spirit? If so, then let go of leaning on your own understanding of what the commandments are telling you to do and not do. Stop trusting yourself and your own efforts to adhere to the law and instead lean into the law maker. Stop listening to those who want your focus to be on you and your sin. Keep your focus on our object of faith... Jesus.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast." The word "works" was translated from the Greek word ἔργον, pronounced er'-gon, and it means, according to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, "toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication an act: - deed doing labour work." Works are those things that are seen. Deeds are performed, not merely thought about and not merely believed internally. Therefore, works are not needed to have faith, seeing that we are saved by faith and not by works, and faith is not needed to have works. The two things, works and faith, are mutually exclusive. So then we see that we can have one without the other. Now, having faith in Jesus brings salvation by the grace of God as a gift. That salvation is not a result of works, that is, efforts or doing any religious acts or deeds. Still, as believers and receivers of such mercy and grace, we who are "born again," ought to show signs of our new life. We do for others out of love, just as we have been so loved by God that he gave to us his only son. Our faith has saved us, but, if we don't help others, our faith is useless to them. 👇👇👇 James 2:20 NASB "But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless? The word "useless" was translated from the Greek word ἀργός, pronounced ar-gos', and it means, according to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, "inactive that is unemployed; (by implication) lazy useless: - barren idle slow." There is nothing more inactive, barren or idle than a corpse. We believers ought to show signs of our eternal life. To not do so is like being dead again. We will not be dead again, so show signs of life. Let the Holy Spirit that is in you work through you to help others. Let them see that faith in Christ has made you alive and active and useful to others. Be a blessing.

Are you mixing old covenant thinking with new covenant thinking? Those who mix the old and the new, those who try to find a balance between law and grace, end up in a false gospel of faith plus works. It seems to them that the blood of Jesus isn't enough. They must add 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 obedience to Jesus' "FINISHED" work. Some people's idea of faithfulness and being a servant of God turns out to be mostly about 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 works. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 faithfulness. It depends upon 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 goodness. It depends upon whether or not 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 can "endure to the end." It depends upon whether or not 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 maintain 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 relationship with God by works of confession and constant requests for forgiveness. Sad. It IS very sad. If that's you, REPENT of old covenant legalistic behavior modification centered thinking that diminishes the power and effectiveness of Jesus' blood and puts the focus on self. We can do NOTHING to save ourselves, and it is certain that we can do NOTHING to keep ourselves saved. Our salvation, and our continued right standing with God, is entirely by the grace of God through faith in Jesus as our only source and our only hope of salvation. I'm telling you the gospel truth!!

The Bible says that we believers are created for good works. What good works? The answer is NOT law keeping. Not maintenance of our salvation through obedience to the commandments. Giving to and loving others, spreading the good news of God's grace, and being a light in the darkness are all good works. We believers want to do those. However, we are NOT required to. 👇👇👇 John 6:28-29 NASB Therefore they said to Him, “What are we to do, so that we may accomplish the works of God?” [29] Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗺 whom He has sent.” It is the will of God that we place our faith in Jesus alone for our salvation and our continued right standing with God. That's it!! Do that, and you receive ETERNAL life. 👇👇👇 John 6:38-40 NASB For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. [39] And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of everything that He has given Me I will lose nothing, but will raise it up on the last day. [40] For 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, that 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” Jesus and him crucified is the correct object of faith. Nothing added. Nothing taken away. Only Christ and Christ alone.

Grace is the undeserved, unearned, unmerited favor from God. So… grace isn’t just for those who are obedient. If that was so, then if we are obedient, we deserve grace. If we deserve it, then it’s a reward for good behavior… that wouldn’t be grace. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀; 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Purgatory?? The flesh is corrupt and sinful by nature. Believers though are not condemned, even though we remain in our earth suits. We are born again and made new creatures by the Holy Spirit. We are purified from sin and sin's effects despite our human condition, and our spirits are entirely acceptable to God. We have been washed clean in the blood of the Lamb of God. We will never be cast away. This body of flesh and blood will be disposed of one day, and my spirit will go without blemish, without spot, without stain, without wrinkle, without the stench or taint of sin in any way to the Father of lights where we will live with Him forever more. We believers don't require any other means of purification to be acceptable to God. No extra cleaning in a purgatory is needed. The blood of Jesus is more than sufficient. To think otherwise is to diminish the power and value of His blood and undermine the efficacy of His "finished" work on the cross. Colossians 1:19-22 NASB "For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, [20] and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. [21] And although you were previously alienated and hostile in attitude, engaged in evil deeds, [22] yet He has now reconciled you in His body of flesh through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach."

Revelation 3:5 NASB "The one who 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 will be clothed the same way, in white garments; and 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." We believers ARE the 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝗿𝙨. 👇👇👇 1 John 5:4-5 NASB "For whoever has been born of God 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 the world; and this is the victory that has 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 the world: our faith. [5] Who is the one who 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" Our names will NEVER be blotted out! We already HAVE eternal life.

Romans 8:10-11 NASB "If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." We belivers walk with God. He is our faithful "Ride or Die." We have His righteousness, and we are accepted by Him. We are adopted by God. He is our Father. Talk with Him. Worship Him. With gratitude and thanksgiving, humbling acknowledging His grace towards you, enjoy your connection to Him. You have nothing to fear from Him. You are never alone. Like Enoch, your relationship with God is a higher form of relationship than those under the law. You are free indeed, and no sin is held to your account.

Isaiah 26:3-4 NASB “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. 4 “Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock."' When we heard the gospel, we repented, we changed our thinking and understanding of what truly matters from temporal satisfaction to eternal security. We placed our faith in Jesus alone for our salvation and our continued right standing with God. There, at the cross, our hope was made alive and we were given a peace we hadn't previously known. Hold on to that understanding. Don't let anybody shift your thinking from resting in Christ to religious works and self effort to maintain your righteousness. Keep your eyes upon Jesus. Titus 1:15 NASB "To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled." Great wickedness, you see, is unbelief. People caught up in legalistic imitations of Christianity boast in their obedience and belief, but they don’t really believe. The word believe in John 3:16 is translated into English from the Greek word πιστεύω (pronounced pist-yoo'-o), and it means, “to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), that is, credit; by implication to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well being to Christ): - believe (-r), commit (to trust), put in trust with.”  (From Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance) To believe, as in what Jesus told Nicodemus in the famous John 3:16 verse, is NOT a warm and fuzzy feeling it must be true. That’s what some mean when we say “believe” today. What Jesus meant is to trust in, rely on, and give full confidence to him for your eternal life. Do you? Salvation isn't a result of Jesus + your obedience to the 10 commandments. Being baptized in water doesn't save you either. The sacraments are powerless to wash your sins away. Only the blood of Jesus can do that. We can do nothing to aid Jesus in qualifying us for salvation. There’s no outward action that we must do. There is only the inward reaction to his love of believing in him alone. When we trust in, rely on, and give full confidence to Jesus, as our only hope and source of salvation, we inherit eternal life. Boom! Full stop. If you still disagree and you still maintain that the blood of Christ isn't enough ... REPENT of your heresy!  Quit claiming you are the bride of a Christ but then flirt with Moses behind his back. Let go of the former husband that is dead and buried and fully embrace the living husband that resurrected from the dead and is delivering people still. Isaiah 12:2 NASB “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

God’s Character — the 10 commandments are a reflection of God’s character? That’s a lie from hell. It isn’t biblical at all. His character cannot be limited to 10 commandments. Anyway… God isn’t all about the thou shalts and the shalt nots. There Is so much more! What about grace? Mercy? Forgiveness? What about the fruit of the Spirit? Is he not the loving father? Doesn’t God have compassion? He is patient. God is perfect in every way. God is all powerful. God is all knowing. God is everywhere at all times. God wants us to have peace that passes our understanding. God is a fire from the loins up to his loins down, the Bible tells us.  With his mouth he spoke creation into existence. He breathes out stars. He has prepared a place for us where he is. There is much, much more about God and his character than the law. The law was given because of the Israeli people’s evil, but it was given to only last until Jesus came to complete his earthly ministry. 👇👇👇 Galatians 3:19 NASB Why the Law then? It was added on account of the violations, having been ordered through angels at the hand of a mediator, until the Seed would come to whom the promise had been made. Why would anyone teach that the law which magnifies mankind’s sin is a reflection of God’s character?  The law is the power of sin. Look 👀 👇👇👇 1 Corinthians 15:56 NASB The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law; If the law is a reflection of God’s character, then God is the power of sin. May that never be said. The law Is holy, just and good, but it can’t clean us. It only shows us that we are dirty. God, our father in heaven, cleans us by his grace because of our faith in his son, Jesus, who was sacrficed for us because of God’s love. John 17:26 AMPC “I have made Your Name known to them and revealed Your character and Your very Self, and I will continue to make [You] known, that the love which You have bestowed upon Me may be in them [felt in their hearts] and that I [Myself] may be in them.” I’m talking about grace and law. To say that the character of God is essentially one of law and justice is to limit the divine to one’s own understanding of what those terms entail. It is an intellectual attempt to encapsulate human reasoning and inject our minuscule logic into the aspects of God’s nature. It is a futile venture of pride and an arrogant overconfidence in mans’ ability to actually obey God.

2 Colossians 2:6-7 NASB Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, [7] having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. When we were born again, we were "firmly rooted." The foundation is secured, and we are safe in Christ. No one can pluck us up, because noone can ruin what the Lord has planted. Having eternal life, we now grow and mature in Him; "built up in Him." This confidence and reliance on Jesus alone for our salvation, and our continued right standing with God, is being "established in your faith." 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 NASB "Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. [21] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Psalm 32:1-2 KJV "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. [2] Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." Hallelujah!! That is the believer's state of right standing with God. By the grace of God, because of our faith in Jesus and his "finished" work at the cross, we are not only blessed with already having all of our sin debt washed away in the blood of Christ (our transgressions forgiven and sins covered), but also we enjoy a continued blessing going forward of God not counting our iniquities against us. We are forgiven, and we continue to be held in a state of sinlessness. Such blessings are not due to our performance. Romans 5:6 NASB "For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly." That's me. I'm the ungodly. I am helpless to save myself. Jesus' blood is sufficient for our salvation. Our redemption is given as a gift to us who place our faith in that blood. The Thief was saved by the Savior who had bled that blood while on the cross sealing the new covenant between the Father and the Son by paying the cost for all mankind. The Thief was the first of the born again under that new covenant. He didn't have to partake of the Lord's Supper. No works were necessary. No sacraments were necessary. He believed, and, despite not having been baptized in water, Jesus declared that the Thief would be good to go. Perhaps, after Jesus died, the Thief sinned before he too died. Maybe, he looked down on the soldiers there and hated them for what they had done and were doing to him and the others on crosses. It wouldn't have mattered though. He had already received the assurance of eternal life through his belief in Jesus. Nothing else was necessary, and there isn't anything necessary for anyone else either. When we are born again, we are adopted by God. God is a good father, and he would never unadopt his children. He adopts us despite our iniquities, despite our transgressions, despite our ungodlyness, and we stay safe in that same blessed assurance. Since we are contained in such a magnificent and incredible grace, we are not, as some people think, encouraged to go out and sin with abandon and live a licentiously loose lifestyle. Quite the opposite, and that is why believers who are not following the direction of the Holy Spirit, which was imparted to them at the moment of belief in Christ as their only source and their only hope of salvation, their conscience convicts them. Couple that awful feeling of anxiety and guilt and remorse and regret with the devil whispering in their ears that they are no longer acceptable, and even believers will walk in shame rather than resting in faith knowing their sins are forgiven and their transgressions are forgotten despite the evil they have done or how bad they can become. Walk in faith then. Worship the God who saved us and saves us still. Trust him, be dependent upon him, listen to him, and live your life in honor of him. Do these things, not to keep your right standing with God, but because you believe that you already have right standing with God. Yesterday, I was accused of contempt for God, because I demonstrate contempt for his law. Like the Apostle Paul wrote, and I concur that, "we uphold the law," for the purpose in which the law was given. We use the law to show unbelievers their guilt and need for Jesus, but once the person has come to Faith in Christ for their salvation, the purpose of the law has been fulfilled for them in Jesus. Saved people no longer need the law. We are not led by the law. We are led by the Holy Spirit, the writer and giver of the law. Since we believers have the giver of the law in our hearts, what further need could we possibly have for the law? Trust that the Holy Spirit actually does what Jesus said he would do in the believer's life. Contempt for the Lord? The worst kind of contempt for the Lord is diminishing the power and sufficiency of the blood of his son, Jesus. Don't think that your obedience to the commandments given to Israel, just like the legalistic Pharisees back then, buys you brownie points with God. Without faith, the Bible says, it is impossible to please God. Here's the truth... we believers, those who have placed our faith in Christ alone for our salvation, we believe that our redemption, our sanctification, our justification and our continued right standing with God are all gifts by the grace of God through faith in Jesus as our only source and our only hope of that salvation and righteousness. Don't misplace your faith in the incorrect object of faith. Don't place your faith in yourself. That's putting your faith in your own obedience. It's in your own holiness. It's in your own performance. If that's what you think, repent of your unbelief! Place your faith in the correct object of faith. What is the correct object of faith? Christ and him crucified. 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 KJV "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; [24] But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." People want the law. It's natural for us. It just seems, to our reasoning, that we need it. We think it might be good for us. We think it's a good medicine. Legalism seems like a pill we should take, but the law is a big pill. In fact, it's too big for us to swallow. "Oh well," our logic comes up with the solution, "I know. I'll cut it up into smaller pieces. Pieces that will still be good for me, but pieces I'm able to take." So, religious people sliced and diced the law up in their pill cutter-like brains and came up with sections that they labeled "civil law," "ceremonial law" and "moral law." God gave the law. All 613 commandments. It was people who cut it up. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗽. Even the most legalistic people though think that they don't have to take the ceremonial lump. To them, all they need is the moral part. It only has ten commandments, after all. Oh, maybe they sort through the bigger pieces they sliced off and pick out some other small bits they can take off of one of the big chunks. Some think that they should still abide by the dietary laws, and they decide that they shouldn't eat "unclean foods." Some think they should still honor feast days. Some cut off a little of the regulations for daily living as something they can swallow. The pill of the law brings with it some negative side effects. It causes bitterness and divisiveness and pride. People on the pill of the law can be angry and out of their mouths comes vitriol and disgust, especially to those that disagree with their doctrine. I’m left wondering … where is the fruit of the Spirit demonstrated here? Where at least is Christian love and compassion? Praise God we believers are free and no longer burdened like those under the law. The weight of their own guilt and condemnation causes them to be disgruntled, angry, hostile, and unable to show the love that believers ought to demonstrate. You see? If you're going to take the pill, you need the entire dose... not smaller, more palitable, easier to take sections. If you even miss one crumb of it, you are completely in the wrong and will experience the negative side effects.

Galatians 3:10-14 NASB "For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them.” [11] Now, that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “the righteous one will live by faith.” [12] However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “The person who performs them will live by them.” [13] Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”— [14] in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Being under the law comes with a curse. Living under legalistic religious demands is a doomed endeavor. You have to do it perfectly. You can't. You don't. That's why we are told that, "no one is justified by the Law before God." Living by faith, trusting in Jesus and his finished work as all that is needed for righteousness, comes with the blessing of Abraham. Live by faith. 1 Corinthians 4:1 NASB "This is the way any person is to regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God." Many people who have been deceived into believing false Gospels, those that add any human effort to salvation, which is a gift from God to all those who place their faith in Jesus alone, think that they are servants of Christ because they go about spreading their false gospels. BUT they believe in a different gospel and follow a different christ. Ministers of the true gospel are "stewards of the mysteries of God." The word "steward" was translated from the Greek word οἰκονόμος, pronounced oy-kon-om'-os, and it means, according to Strong's Exhaustive Dictionary, "a house distributor (that is manager) or overseer that is an employee in that capacity; by extension a fiscal agent (treasurer); figuratively 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 (𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹): - chamberlain governor steward." Preachers of the true gospel preach about the mysteries of God. 👇👇👇 1 Corinthians 2:7-13 NASB "but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; [8] the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; [9] but just as it is written: “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the human heart, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” [10] For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. [11] For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God. The great mystery is this: that God would so love us that he withheld nothing from us, even offering up the body and blood of his own son for us, so that if we'd only believe in Jesus and his finished work at Calvary as being sufficient for our salvation, that we would be given the righteousness of God in Christ, salvation, redemption, justification, sanctification and inherit eternal life through no effort of our own or any of our own works through obedience to the commandments. Genesis 15:6-8 NASB "Then he believed in the Lord; and He credited it to him as righteousness. [7] And He said to him, “I am the Lord who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to possess it.” [8] But he said, “Lord God, how may I know that I will possess it?'” Look at that! 👀 Look and see how quickly belief can turn to doubt. Yes, Abraham believed. Yes, God gave him right standing, not because of his actions but simply because he believed God had told him the truth. The Apostle Paul made Abraham's righteousness through faith a significant point of the gospel message, and he was right in doing so. Belief is what Jesus told Nicodemus was necessary to inherit eternal life. Abraham believed God. God accounted Abraham's belief as enough reason to give right standing to Abraham. Yet, in the next line, we read that God said something else to Abraham right after Abraham was declared righteous. God told Abraham that he would possess the land he was in, and Abraham's response to this new promise? Doubt. "How will I know that I will possess it," he asked? Keep the faith! Colossians 2:13-14 NASB "And when you were dead in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings, [14] having 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 the 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 of debt 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 against us, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀; and He has taken it out of the way, having 𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 it to the cross." We believers were spiritually dead in sin and guilty of wrongdoings too, but Jesus washed that all away and made us spiritually alive! That born again spiritual life is "eternal life." We will never be judged again for our sins, because even the "𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲" "𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀" "𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀" has been "𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱" and "𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱" to the cross. What is this certificate consisting of decrees that are hostile to us? 👇👇👇 Ephesians 2:15-16 NASB "by abolishing in His flesh the hostility, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄 composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two one new person, in this way establishing peace; [16] and that He might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the hostility." Notice the answer. The thing hostile to us consisting of decrees, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, is the law. It is NOT the ordinances themselves. It is the 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀. The Amplified Bible puts it this way. 👇👇👇 Ephesians 2:14-15 AMPC "For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us, [15] By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 [which He annulled]; that He from the two might create in Himself one new man [one new quality of humanity out of the two], so making peace." How can the commandments be "𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲" to us? Because to be subject to them, to be under them, we are held accountable to our performance at obeying them. If we disobey, if we break them, which we do, which we did, we were guilty of sin, and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). The good news is that we are no longer under the law. We are under grace (Romans 6:14). How's that possible? Because, for the believer, the law has been "𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱," so we are no longer accountable to it. We are dead to it (Romans 7:4). We have been reborn as a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are born again, and we have eternal life.

2 Corinthians 4:13-15 NASB "But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written: “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸, [14] knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus, and will present us with you. [15] For all things are for your sakes, 𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, will cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God." Psalm 51:1-2 NASB "Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithfulness; According to the greatness of Your compassion, wipe out my wrongdoings. Wash me thoroughly from my guilt And cleanse me from my sin." To be washed clean from our guilt isn't a result of our baptism in water or even our works of confession and pleas of mercy, due to our sorrowful regret over our wrongdoings. The forgiveness of sin, and our rightstanding with God, is according to the faithfulness and compassion of God.
