Some seasons of life seem unbearably long. Pain lingers. Prayers appear unanswered. The body grows weaker, relationships become strained, and trials seem to arrive one after another. In those moments, we wonder if life will always be this difficult. Whether we are enduring grief, persecution, sickness, or disappointment, the question is not whether suffering is real but whether it is the end of our story.

Paul knew suffering firsthand. He was beaten, imprisoned, rejected, and persecuted for the Gospel. Yet he ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ฌ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด, meaning he counts every hardship in this present life fading beside the eternal glory God has prepared for His children. Our pain is temporary. His glory is eternal.

Imagine walking through a long, dark tunnel. Every step feels heavy, and the darkness seems endless. Yet with each step, the light at the end grows brighter. The tunnel is real, but it is not your destination. In the same way, every trial brings God’s children one step closer to everlasting glory.

Scripture continually lifts our eyes beyond present suffering. One day, “๐˜Ž๐˜ฐ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ข๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜บ ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ด ๐˜ง๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ช๐˜ณ ๐˜ฆ๐˜บ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด” (๐‘๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ’). The believer’s future is not uncertainty—it is glory.

The world teaches us to live for today because it cannot see tomorrow. But God’s children live with eternity in view. Suffering is temporary; glory is eternal. Don’t judge the entire journey by one difficult mile. The darkest chapter is never the final page when God is writing the story. Better days are not merely wishful thinking—they are promised by God Himself.

Jesus Christ secured that future through His own suffering. He endured the cross, despised the shame, and now sits at the right hand of the Father (๐‡๐ž๐›๐ซ๐ž๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ). The nails were temporary. The crown is eternal. Because Christ conquered death and rose again, every believer has the sure hope of sharing in His glory. The cross was not the end—and neither are your present trials.

What suffering has tempted you to lose heart? What burden has made tomorrow seem hopeless? You don’t need Christ merely to help you survive today—you need Him because He has already prepared your forever. Hold on a little longer. The road may be hard, but the destination is glorious. The best is not behind you—it is still ahead.

๐๐ซ๐š๐ฒ๐ž๐ซ: Heavenly Father, we confess that suffering has clouded our view of glory. Forgive us for losing hope when pain seems endless. Remind us that our present trials are preparing us for an eternal weight of glory. Help us to fix our eyes on what is unseen. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!
