Now the centurion and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened. The officer saw how Jesus died and felt great fear. He realized this was not a normal man or a normal crime and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!” (Matt. 27:45-54). “Truly this was the Son of God!” What a declaration!
