And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,6.12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Deuteronomy 6:10; 12
In several places in the Scripture we are encouraged not to forget from where and condition the Lord picked us from. There are many people who forget who they were, their condition and place they were before God changed their lives. And this leads to pride and arrogance. Those that forget who they were before God changed their lives will always think that it was their plans, ideas, connections and wisdom that made their lives to change, and not God. But we are encouraged with the Scripture above to always remember that God is the One who turned our lives around. That means, just as He changed someone's live and condition, He can also do that to another person.
Let the blessings of God upon you keep you humble always, and be grateful unto Him.
