Daily devotion: Isaiah 40:31:
“But those who trust in the LORD for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.”
Today I turn to one of my favorite scriptures. In these times we are living it is not unusual for people to feel anxious, worried and depressed. We see the cruelty of war, the horror of starvation, the frightening scenes of natural disasters. Our lives seem to be filled with unresolved trauma.
With awful things happening around us we feel less and less connected to God. In the confusion of our day to day lives we’ve become lost.
Yet, there is hope for those who believe in Jesus Christ. God and our faith in Jesus are two of the most important weapons we have while fighting against Satan and his minions.
As Isaiah says….we will rise above all challenges, all pain, all uncertainties, all anxiety. Like an eagle we will soar into the light and love of our Creator.
Look hard at your own life. Do you trust God enough? Will you open your heart to accept the love and peace that God offers? You must make your choice between the easy path, that enticing path that promises good fortune or the narrow path, filled with constant attacks from our adversary, the devil, anxiety, depression, guilt….the rocky road where you stumble and fall.
You need to listen closely now…look around you and you will SEE the signs prophesied in the Bible becoming reality. Time is getting short, so take this opportunity to repent. Do not continue in your worldly life, turn to God so that you will not be left behind.
