"Let him who is without sin cast the first stone". Scribes and Pharisees brought a woman accused of adultery to Jesus, stating the law of Moses commanded she be stoned. Jesus bent down and wrote in the dust with his finger and delivered those words. Convicted by their own consciences, the accusers left the area one by one, starting with the older men. Left alone with the woman, Jesus did not condemn her, telling her to go and sin no more.
