Friday, 31st July, 2026 TITLE: "EMPOWERED TO IMPACT EVERY GENERATION" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Psalm 71:18 (KJV) "Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come" 2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV) "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work" QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "God blesses His people with grace and strength so they can impact both the present generation and those yet to come." DAY'S REFLECTION A life that honours God is not measured by personal success alone but by the lasting influence it leaves on others. In Psalm 71:18, the psalmist, even in old age, does not ask merely for longevity but for the opportunity to continue declaring God's strength and His power to the next generation. This reveals that spiritual maturity carries the responsibility of mentoring, teaching, and inspiring others to trust in the Lord. The phrase "old and grayheaded" symbolises a life seasoned by experience. Every testimony of God's faithfulness becomes a valuable inheritance for younger generations. God never intends for the wisdom gained through life's journey to remain hidden; it is to be shared so that others may grow in faith. In 2 Corinthians 9:8, Paul reminds believers that God is able. Our effectiveness in serving Him does not depend solely on our natural ability or material resources but on His abundant grace. God's grace provides all sufficiency—everything necessary for every assignment He entrusts to us. Whether through our time, talents, finances, encouragement, or prayers, He equips us to abound in every good work. When these two passages are read together, they reveal a powerful truth: God preserves us to proclaim His greatness, and He supplies us with sufficient grace to fulfil that purpose. Every believer, regardless of age or status, is called to become a channel through which God's goodness reaches others. Live today with eternal purpose. Let your words encourage, your actions inspire, and your generosity reflect God's grace. A life surrendered to Christ will continue influencing generations long after earthly days have ended.
